Wtf do I do?? I feel sick to my stomach. How do I get through this?

Don't worry - The adrenaline will kick in and sharpen your mind for the exam - you'll be extra knackered later but you should be ok for the exam. I didn't sleep at all the night before an A level and still did fine.

Good luck!

NewYearNewMe18 · 28/03/2018 05:33

You'll be fine.

LEMtheoriginal · 28/03/2018 05:34

I suffer with anxiety. Looks like it's going to win again. Do I dose up on caffeine do you think? Take a bottle of fat coke to fight off the cone down?

LEMtheoriginal · 28/03/2018 05:35

If I could do the exam NOW I'd be ok.

Redbull and Orange juice

A Xanax/Valium/Promethazine afterwards Smile

Herewegoagainagain · 28/03/2018 05:46

Decent breakfast with protein to keep going you. Plenty of water. Definitely something like full-fat coke/coffee. Your brain will sharpen up and you'll get through it. Good luck!

LEMtheoriginal · 28/03/2018 05:48

Daffodils - if only....

Tiddler7 · 28/03/2018 05:49

Avocado with chilli works better than coffee for me.

LEMtheoriginal · 28/03/2018 05:51

Now of course I'm starting to feel exhausted and just want to sleep. I've fucked up AGAIN

Sakurasnail · 28/03/2018 05:52

Don't have too much caffeine beforehand, might give you the can't concentrate jitters.

I once had an exam the day after my room flooded and got next to no sleep. Wasn't my best effort, but def not as bad as I had worried. Good luck. 🍀

Sakurasnail · 28/03/2018 05:53

Can you have a short power nap?

LEMtheoriginal · 28/03/2018 05:54

Trouble is my job kind of depends on me passing :(

OP posts:
LEMtheoriginal · 28/03/2018 05:54

I need to be up in half an hour

Sakurasnail · 28/03/2018 05:55

Get off your phone and rest your eyes, better than nothing.

NicolaNineLives · 28/03/2018 05:58

Am in the same position - well, a job interview.

Sending solidarity..

Daffodils78 · 28/03/2018 05:59

10 minutes of "eye rest" and a cold shower

Plus all the coffee

Daffodils78 · 28/03/2018 05:59

You can buy Promethazine over the counter Wink

Kahlua4me · 28/03/2018 06:02

10 minutes of resting your eyes and a shower is a good plan.

You will be fine for the exam as it’s today. One nights sleep won’t matter to much, it’s your anxiety that makes you believe it will affect you.

LEMtheoriginal · 28/03/2018 06:03

Have literally laid here with my eyes shut all night. Dp is angry with me for waking him up tossing and turning. Why am I such an idiot?

OP posts:
HeffalumpsnWoozles · 28/03/2018 06:05

If you suffer with anxiety as in panic attacks, hyperventilating etc. avoid the caffeine, it'll only make you feel worse on top of the anxiety you are already feeling.

Try not to worry about the lack of sleep, we are pretty resilient creatures & the more you worry the worse you'll feel and convince yourself you'll fail because you didn't sleep well.

Good luck with the exam, sure you'll be fine once you start.

Daffodils78 · 28/03/2018 06:05

Good luck with your exam by the way OP Smile I am sure you will do brilliantly It is amazing what can be achieved after a sleepless night

LEMtheoriginal · 28/03/2018 06:07

Ok. Will get up soon and shower . There's no coffee in the house but tea and toast. Then off to the library for an hours cramming whit I mainline espresso coke and mars bar. I'll leave the rescue remedy because the caffeine is going to cancel it out

GaryBaldyBiscuit · 28/03/2018 06:27

Best of luck Lem and Nicola! You'll be fine for the exam an interview, just be prepared to have a massive slump after and go to bed early if you can tonight Flowers

cantthinkofanythingwitty · 28/03/2018 06:39

I used to get like this before my exams last year. Stay away from the red bull, it used to give me extreme anxiety which is not something I usually get.

Tiredness - always perked up in time for the exam and then would be exhausted afterwards.

Good luck with your exam. I hope it all goes well
