On the flip side, if it was one of my children missing then all the money in the world wouldn't be enough if I didn't have an answer.

I see where your coming from I mean if it was my child obviously I would want them to keep looking but it doesn’t feel fair to all the other missing people are they not worthy of such time & money to look for them?

Like after all these years they have suddenly got an amazing new lead, I really doubt it.

And I guess all the negative press has got to me somewhat and I feel like the parents know something they're not saying so that makes it all a bit of a waste. (Of course I have zero to back that up with.)

Apparently, the police have a significant line of enquiry so that's why more money is being approved. They have to show they have good cause before they get the money.
However, 300 children a year go missing who are never found, in this country every year, so I don't understand why the same amount of effort goes into their cases.
