Oh and also crisps that had a blue sachet of salt inside the packet for you to sprinkle on as you like.....heavenly

DaveyouareanuttertwatDave · 28/03/2018 15:06

Also McDonald's used to do spicy bean burger that was amazing

HarshingMyMellow · 28/03/2018 15:15

I know it's a drink, but proper Tizer!

I got a can the other day, really excited to relive my childhood and it's vile now. Doesn't taste remotely the same Sad

angryburd · 28/03/2018 15:39

Tizer used to be amazing!! Same with Fanta when it used to be proper neon orange.

dontbesillyhenry · 28/03/2018 16:35

Dave those are salt and shake and are still around

soupforbrains · 28/03/2018 16:47

yeah and also @DaveyouareanuttertwatDave wham bars also still exist and are readily available. I bought 10 the other day and ate 4 straight off the bat

Bluebell2200 · 28/03/2018 16:52

Lyons Chocolate Cupcakes. So cheap but bloody tasty. I could eat a whole box quite easily.

TempusEejit · 28/03/2018 17:38

Ah Lyons chocolate cupcakes - I'd forgotten about those! Lovely. Lyons also used to do iced tarts - like a flat cherry bakewell minus the cherry and the sponge. I sometimes think I dreamt them though as no one else seems to remember them.

dontbesillyhenry · 28/03/2018 18:03

The fabulous baker boys did some lovely cupcakes too

StephiD3 · 28/03/2018 21:22

daveyouare

I’m sure they still do them !! Salty stingy lips after shaking all the salt and eating them really quick!Grin

Alycesmummys · 29/03/2018 11:15

Island...

sueelleker · 29/03/2018 12:49

Badgers Chinese Figs-had them every Christmas.

Wishes08 · 29/03/2018 12:52

Not sure if anyone has said it already but Asda used to sell a frozen Milka cake thing .. stopped seeing it in around 2012 and I still miss it.

CrieffBobsledTeam · 29/03/2018 13:04

This thread has reminded me of so many things I’d forgotten about! Phileas Fogg Mignons Morceaux and Romantica ice cream cake bring back memories of university.

Things I regularly miss and wish still existed are
Kellogg’s Puffa Puffa Rice
Terry’s Waifa - vastly superior to Kitkat
Superwhip frozen cream that you could scoop like ice cream into puddings etc

CrieffBobsledTeam · 29/03/2018 13:13

Ah, should have kept reading, I see I’m not the only one who misses Terry’s waifa.

FelicityMorange Thank you for posting those Easter eggs - I was a huge fan of all the various Tots when I was a child, but especially Tiger Tots. Lots of people seem to remember Candy Tots but when I talk about Tiger Tots and Bunny Tots people act like I’m just making it up!

Skiiltan · 29/03/2018 16:22

I loved Terry's Wafia, too, and agree they were much nicer than Kit Kats.

That's reminded me of something I really miss but don't think will ever come back: Cadbury Bar Six. I last saw them in a shop in Southampton in 1998. I bought several at the time because I hadn't seen them for ages previously, but those were the last ones I would ever taste.

SistersOfPercy · 29/03/2018 16:36

Oh god yes, Sizzle and Stir! That was so amazing. Also, there used to be a foil bag called Curry to Go which was also just fabulous.

DD tells me they sell Campino in the USA so my suitcase will be filled with them on the flight home 😂

FloydOnThePull · 29/03/2018 16:37

Smirnoff Mule

My drink of choice in the good old days before anyone got ID'd when the local night club was basically a school disco every Friday night.

Gottagetmoving · 29/03/2018 16:42

Going back many, many years...
Chipitos
Dee-Lite crumpets
Aztec bars
Frys Cokernut bars
Duet bars

stayanotherday · 29/03/2018 18:05

United biscuits, proper Lucozade, Terry's Neapolitans. Round biscuits wrapped in purple foil, can't remember the name of them.

WhatABeutifulDay · 29/03/2018 22:03

Maverick chocolate bars :)

Miss them sooo much!

GingerLDN · 31/03/2018 02:01

Pillsbury toaster strudels. Not great but makes me nostalgic. Heinz baked bean pizza. Secret chocolate bar. Golden Cup. Roses as they used to be - coffee creams, dairy milk, bourneville. Spira!

Mrsramsayscat · 31/03/2018 10:31

Practically none. It's all junk!

CrieffBobsledTeam · 02/04/2018 10:31

Sisters Iceland do a thing similar to Sizzle and Stir, my DSis had some last time we were visiting and they were pretty good.

SistersOfPercy · 02/04/2018 12:11

oooh Crieff thank you! I'll give it a go
