You can get chocolate barrels filled with advocatt in Lidl at Christmas or in bars in the polish section at Sainsbury's.

Lidl also do their own version of Cadbury's snaps which are nice.

concretesieve · 27/03/2018 23:41

Terry's naps.

Longtallsally39 · 27/03/2018 23:45

Saucy sponge! (1980’s) Does anyone remember?

squishee · 27/03/2018 23:48

Probably grim mystery meat but for nostalgia purposes: Brain's Faggots.

Aeroflotgirl · 27/03/2018 23:50

Smiths Tubes, Secret bar, Gino Ginellies Tutti Fruitty Ice Cream, Walls Gold choc Ice(they were yummy).

Rockerfeller · 27/03/2018 23:52

@HunterofStars Kellogg's start is in Sainsbury's.. I only know because I cried with joy when I saw it and bought 4 boxes Blush

mcdog · 27/03/2018 23:57

Prawn cocktail wotsits...my mouth is watering just thinking about them!!

Skiiltan · 27/03/2018 23:58

squishee - You can still buy Brain's faggots (although they're called Mr Brains now, presumably to stop people thinking - in the age of Creutzfeld-Jakob disease - that they're made from brains). Look in the frozen mystery meat section at Sainsbury's.

Longtallsally39 - I remember Saucy Sponge, with excrutiatingly bad televsions adverts ("the sponge always rises to the top").

Aeroflotgirl · 28/03/2018 00:09

Mmmmm a Prawn cocktail wotsits😋😋😋😋

Uniglo18 · 28/03/2018 00:46

@Purplerain101 you can definitely still get those Mikado Biscuits and the related Kimberly biscuits (round ones with the mallow between two slightly spiced biscuits) they are available everywhere in ireland and N.Ireland. but also are available now and then at B&M.

@MrsSchadenFreud you have just reminded me of the Heinz Toast Toppers. They were hideous and delicious I loved them!

JustMarriedAndLovingIt · 28/03/2018 09:58

M & S fruit rocks. Amazing sweets and I still look sadly every time i’m There ‘just in case’ Sad
These amazing lollies that were in the same shaped packaging as a callipo but were orange ice cream. Haven’t seen them for about 20 years but they were gorgeous.

ItWentInMyEye · 28/03/2018 10:00

Heinz Toast Toppers. They were hideous and delicious I loved them!

There is an episode of Red Dwarf where the crew acquires a triplicator: a device that takes an original item and produces two new items from it. The drawback is that on of the copies has all the good features of the original and the other has all the bad features. They accidentally reverse the beam and produce two copies of the ship and its crew.

While exploring the "low" copy - the one where everything on the ship is broken and the crew are low-life scum - Kryten happens to open a fridge. The scene goes as follows:

"Eurgh! Toastie Toppers!"
"Cinema hot-dogs!"
"Oh no! Sweaty kebabs with stringy brown lettuce!"

willowtree62 · 28/03/2018 11:24

Brannigans cheese and chive crisps
KP minichips in salt & vinegar and barbecue

You can get cider lollies in asda, sorry can't remember who mentioned it!

thelastredwinegum · 28/03/2018 11:29

Banana ready brek - I've tried adding banana milkshake to it but it's not the same :(

CoodleMoodle · 28/03/2018 11:49

Irn Bru bars.
Heinz baked beans pizza.
BBQ Wotsits (the ones in the Mixup bags are close but not the same) and to a lesser extent, the prawn ones.

loopsdefruit · 28/03/2018 12:01

Citrus Polos
Wonka Fizzy Jerkz
Highlander Crisps (the roast beef ones, and the bacon and brown sauce ones were the best)
The Gü chocolate brownie dessert (although the mary berry one is very good)
The white chocolate cadbury's polar bear animal biscuits

Aeroflotgirl · 28/03/2018 12:03

Oooh Highland Toffee bars, and Toffo yum yum

Aeroflotgirl · 28/03/2018 12:04

Oh and fruit bon bons in those little wrappers, and those blue bird chewy sweets.

Purplerain101 · 28/03/2018 12:29

Ooh yes I used to love an Irn Bru bar.
Gu used to do a fluffy chocolate mousse dessert (think they might have actually been called fluffs) and I was obsessed! Could have eaten them by the bucket load

loopylou6 · 28/03/2018 13:33

Heinz toast toppers
Potato puffs
Kwiksave no frills crisps, they had pure balls of flavour in them
Kwiksave chocolate bars, they had either strawberry or mint cream inside

DaveyouareanuttertwatDave · 28/03/2018 14:30

Mississippi mud pie Muller corner desserts were the best......m & s do a version of it in the taste of summer food collection but it doesn't have the tasty coffee crumb bits like the Muller one used to have.
Muller also did a big pot of the vanilla yogurt that was so nice.
Wham bars and irn bru bars
Cadburys fuse bars
Quavers salt and vinegar
Teenage mutant ninja turtle pizza, it had marshmallows on it!
Boosters biscuits the nutty ones
Gino ginelli ice cream
