Mine is everywhere I see everyone has a Pandora charm bracelet on.
Whilst I own the bow necklace and earrings.. I can't see the appeal in the charms :/ yet apparently they're the best thing according to my best friend.

I find that those people that I know in RL that don’t like dogs and/or cats are generally a bit ‘cold’. I honestly think there’s something weird about someone who can look at a cat/dog and think of them as being no more than a pest/object.

But I can understand people who have genuine fear of animals, as that’s quite often down to their parents attitudes to animals.

Flisspaps · 25/03/2018 11:13

I don't like The Beatles.

This is blasphemy in my house as I'm married to a Scouser.

Dangerousmonkey · 25/03/2018 11:13

Ofsted ratings are meaningless shit and getting your child into a good school is because you're a deluded snob. Student's attainment remains largely predictable by parental academic attainment. Very few teachers and less schools make a difference in either direction.

Most newborns look like aliens/old men including my own dc.
If you can't afford to properly feed and clothe your dc and they're walking around in a siblings old shoes that are 3 sizes too big you should try to stop or at least cut down your cigarette intake - db I'm looking at you for this one.

Fortybingowings · 25/03/2018 11:35

I don’t see anything wrong with the stereotyping of girls clothes/toys and boys clothes/toys.

Facebook - nothing to do with recent events, just never understood why I should be telling people what I had for dinner and how much i love my kids - seriously who cares?

HobnobBob · 25/03/2018 12:30

Love Songs on Radio 2 is the dullest thing to listen to on a Sunday morning. Why can no one think beyond Whitney’s I will always love you or Aerosmith’s I don’t want to miss a thing. Which is one of the worst songs ever written. Boring.

Bluetoo1 · 25/03/2018 14:34

People not brushing their hair. How much trouble is it to drag a brush through your hair before you step outside? So many people have lank hair all flattened from where they've slept on it.

bellasuewow · 25/03/2018 14:49

That mammals like humans cannot change their biological sex even if they really really want to.

Teachtolive · 25/03/2018 14:51

I tend to think that people who "type Amen" or pass on those chain mail posts are slightly less smart than people who don't.

I have no love for Beyonce. One or two catchy tunes but that's it.

SpringHen · 25/03/2018 14:54

People here talk about how great our area is, but I think something must have gone wrong as it seems the population of functioning adults is increasingly fuelled by borderline alcoholism/anti-depressants/weed.

I think I lived in that naice area too
Everyone parroting on about what a great area it is Stepford stylie yet behind the scenes everyone was having affairs, were functional addicts and a lot of them were spending time in posh mental health/rehab facilities.

I live in a less posh area now and people if married generally seem to have healthy relatiinships and affairs seem rarer and usually relationship ending not a norm. If you go round someones house for dinner you dont get offered drugs and/or sex!

SpringHen · 25/03/2018 14:56

Holly & Phil arent funny or adorable
Theyre unprofessional and should be fired if they cant use their words and do their job!

StealthPolarBear · 25/03/2018 15:13

"Starvation mode is a myth.".
I regularly rant about this. On every dieting thread when someone complains they're not losing weight they get told their body is in starvation mode and they need to eat more. I don't know that starvation mode is definitely a myth bit I am almost certain it won't affect well padded people like me when we try to cut down a bit

Trooperslane2 · 25/03/2018 15:27

redhound WTF do you find useful on MUMSnet?

lighthearted

this site would do my box in if I wasn't interested in kids.

Forevertired19 · 25/03/2018 16:01

@fiss my ex was obsessed with the beatles and if I told him I didn't like one song by then he sent me or it was overrated, he wouldn't speak to me for a week 😂

The benefits of breastfeeding are negligible and it isn't worth worrying about.

Being anti-Zionist isn't the same as being anti-Semetic.

I like Nickelback.

The80sweregreat · 25/03/2018 17:06

Agree about sport. Waste of time and most sports people are tedious and only doing their hobby. The olympics in London was a waste of money and hasn’t encouraged more people to take up sports. It was a massive ego trip.
Football seems to be all about money these days.

insideoutsider · 25/03/2018 17:40

Humans shouldn't plan to have have more than 2 children. People who plan to have none should be thanked.

I understand that accidents happen - that's fine. To consciously have more than 2? Not right.

It's just me, of course.

Rainbunny · 25/03/2018 21:09

I despise the awarding of OBEs/Knighthoods/Damehoods etc... to rich, successful sportspeople/actors/singers/entertainers/business people. These people have enjoyed careers doing something they enjoy, getting very rich and famous for it. Even if they have lent their fame to some good causes it does not make them worthy of these honours IMO. I think these honours should ONLY be awarded to ordinary members of the public who have spent their lives helping others without fame, money or recognition.

itsgoodtobehome · 25/03/2018 21:20

That breastfeeding makes not one iota of difference to a child’s health and development.

shelleybee · 25/03/2018 21:59

Coffee is disgusting. Even the smell of it is nauseating.
Ditto curry.
The age of consent should be at least 18.
Taking drugs does not make you 'edgy,' 'cool' or 'fun,' it makes you seem like an irresponsible, immature dickhead.

Mumto2two · 25/03/2018 22:12

I'm also not a big Beatles fan. Just don't get it. I like John L, but loathe Paul M! His voice sends me into an anti noise tail spin. Which is quite unusual for me, as I'm generally just like it...or not notice at all.

MrsMaxwell · 25/03/2018 22:15

That everyone has “anxiety”.

Asthenia · 25/03/2018 22:30

Diet Coke is better than full fat, Jeremy Corbyn is a breath of fresh air in politics and gives me real hope, marriage is an overrated and outdated institution

LimonViola · 25/03/2018 22:49

"Today 22:15 MrsMaxwell

That everyone has “anxiety”."

I mean, this is actually true. We all have anxiety. We need it to survive. It's our fight or flight system!

An actual, diagnosed anxiety disorder is something quite different and actually is not as common as people seem to make out.
