AIBU to want to end puppy farming.

Hopefully we can use this to ban the import of puppies from puppy farms abroad. A ban would also have a severe impact on puppy farms and dealers in the UK.

I've signed it, Op. I wish they would ban puppy farms, they are cruel. It's awful when there are so many dogs in shelters that need a loving home first.

Please fill in the consultation document if you have any evidence. We have a real chance to make puppy farming a thing of the past.

That's not a petition about puppy farming. It's to stop pet shops selling puppies would stop puppies being removed from their mothers too early which makes them difficult to socialise and can make them aggressive.
Nothing to do with puppy farming which is "banned" already.

This is an attempt to improve the way dogs are sold in the UK.
Puppies are still imported from Ireland and Eastern Europe for the trade, and selling puppies away from the mother isn't in their best interests. Or those of the new owners.

I cant believe how little interest there's been in this petition from Mumsnetters.
