Not sure if this is the correct technique to continue a discussion, forgive me, I'm quite new!
Anyway...
The many denominations only serves to illustrate how incoherent much of God's word (the Bible) is, else it's an illustration of how poorly humanity interprets it. Either way, there's an awful lot of interpretation going on.
Surely every Christian therefore has to think they have it 100% correct (unlikely in the extreme) or they have misinterpreted some parts of God's message just as other denominations have regarding other parts. It is rare for anybody to concede this point.
It's also rare for atheists to concede that science does sometimes disprove previously held scientific 'truths.
