To put dog **** bags on top of car?

thinkingaboutfostering · 21/03/2018 12:53

Sat outside my horses field waiting for the carrier. Car pulls up and two women get out and take 6 dogs for a walk up the path. 3 times so far (they are still in sight at the mo) have they stopped bagged up the dog poo and proceeded to drop the bags on the floor and walk off.

Would I be unreasonable to pick up Sian bags and dump them on their car bonnet with a note saying to take them home with them?

Nothing infuriates me more than seeing bags of dog shit hanging from trees and hedges. I'd hate to see how they live at home, filthy animals. And I don't mean their dogs.

SimonBridges · 21/03/2018 14:40

Poo posts is a good idea.
Although i would argue that carrying a bag of shit is part of the deal of having a dog.

steppemum · 21/03/2018 14:48

loving the idea of poo posts!

Although I suspect people will then just leave them hanging form the posts...

TheHodgeoftheHedge · 21/03/2018 14:49

OP I think you rock! Good on you and I say this as a dog owner. Other people's reluctance to deal with their dog's shit, really angers me. I have been known to chase people down the road waving a poo bag at them and telling them to pick up their crap. One of these days it will end badly ;)

This little bag is a godsend and I never go out without it.

steppedog usually does 3-4 huge poos withthin the first 15 minutes of his walk. There are lots of poo bins.

I hadn't realised just how handy the poo bins were until I went and walked somewhere else and had to carry the full bags for miles!. Next time I go there we will just walk a circle for the first 10 minutes and drop them al of in the bin in the car park before we do the walk proper!

cjt110 · 21/03/2018 14:53

The worst is when people bag it then hang it off a bloody tree!

usualGubbins · 21/03/2018 15:02

I have a Dickybag too. Just Brilliant!

Lubyloo · 21/03/2018 15:05

Those of you saying that they were probably going to pick it up on their way back-why is that acceptable? I have dogs. I also have a clip on one of the leads that I clip the full bags onto until I come across a bin. There's no excuse to leave it.

Lubyloo · 21/03/2018 15:05

And well done OP! Sorry they were so unpleasant to you.

ChikiTIKI · 21/03/2018 15:07

Why do people bag it up and then leave it?! I don't understand. Where I live when I walk through the woods I can see there are loads of poo bags hanging on the trees. It baffles me!

Elendon · 21/03/2018 15:07

Can I say that horse manure is brilliant for your veg plot. I have a friend with horses who gives it away for free. You have to separate the couch grass weeds though!

I find this deplorable. Certainly report them. You have a witness to this.
Dog owners, pick up the dog poo. Don't leave it! And tough bloody titties if you have to carry it. It's part of owning a dog. Dogs often need to poo several times a day - they get dog poo tags if they don't do this. And dog constipation is cruel. I can't understand why these folks don't have a dog poo station in their back yard, garden or flat.

Animals defecate. Clean it up and dispose immediately!

YANBU!

GreenFingersWouldBeHandy · 21/03/2018 15:10

Well done OP, great work for someone who says they're not great at confrontation! Star

And for getting their reg number.

May your fields (and ate) be dogpoo-free tomorrow!

Namechangetempissue · 21/03/2018 15:12

Take photos of the poo bags left behind and put a post on the local facebook site. The amount of condemnation from people hating the poo leavers usually helps the situation (nobody wants to admit to being a poo leaver!). I would put on the post that you would be reporting anyone who you saw doing it and would be monitoring the CCTV (even if you don't have it). Someone did this is our village when a dog walker kept leaving their dogs poo everywhere across a patch of grass by a bench (nice). At the thought of angry locals keeping a close eye on the situation the poo stooped appearing.

bluebells1 · 21/03/2018 15:19

Well done OP! As a dog owner I am glad you confronted them! Take a photo and threaten to send it to the local paper/FB page. That always gets them worried.

I'd smear it on their windscreen!

patstar · 21/03/2018 15:31

Good for you, well done.

Cuppaand2biscuits · 21/03/2018 15:34

You can report to the dog wardens, think it's £1000 fine. That should stop them doing it again, scruffy fuckers.

ohfourfoxache · 21/03/2018 15:41

Well done op Thanks

HeebieJeebies456 · 21/03/2018 15:46

don't wait for them to do it again -report them NOW seeing as you have eye witness proof!

LapdanceShoeshine · 21/03/2018 15:48

Unless of course they are leaving the dog bags on the trail to remind them of the way back to their car?

Like Hansel & Gretel & the crumbs? Grin

littlepeas · 21/03/2018 15:52

Does anyone else remember a similar thread, probably a couple of years ago now, where the OP picked up a dog poo that a walker had left (unbagged on this occasion) and put it on the car bonnet (seen to remember it was a fancy car - Range Rover?). Interestingly, the reaction was far more mixed that time! A pp saying they would smear it on the windscreen reminded me.

Charolais · 21/03/2018 15:52

They didn’t drop it on the ‘floor'. They dropped it on the ground. I don’t know what the hell has happened to the English language - never mind the filthy buggers that live there now.

LapdanceShoeshine · 21/03/2018 15:53

Having read the whole thing now & heard about their attitude, & leaving the rest of their poo behind, you should definitely report to the dog warden!

GreatDuckCookery6211 · 21/03/2018 15:55

I know a woman that bags it and hangs it on trees but she picks it up on her way back and takes it home.
