In hospital being monitored after having a massive bleed. 14 weeks pregnant today and DH has brought in a new box of teabags... Yorkshire tea biscuit brew.

It tastes like digestives and I'm in love.

Cherrypi · 27/04/2018 12:55

This stuff is amazing. Yum!

TenancyTroublesAgain · 27/04/2018 13:09

I didn't realise this was a thing! I'm going hunting!

Ollivander84 · 27/04/2018 17:07

Thanks(!) £35 on bluebird tea... Grin

MustBeThin · 02/05/2018 11:17

Do you like it @Ollivander84

KikiMadeMeDoIt · 02/05/2018 11:22

I get mine at Morrison's. It's proper Yorkshire Tea so is lovely and strong and it smells and tastes of biscuits. I've spent ages trying to find 'my tea', I've faffed around with different chai teas, but this one is just lovely. Hmm, shall I write another sentence with 'lovely' in it - might be overkill. I don't eat biscuits (the wheat would make bad things happen) so this scratches an itch that literally nothing else can.

Okaynowimconfused · 02/05/2018 11:36

Bluebird tea sounds amazing! Do they sell in the usual supermarkets?

twilightcafe · 02/05/2018 11:37

@MustBeThin - I've just signed up to Bluebird's tea subscription. I hope they give you a thank-you present Grin.

KikiMadeMeDoIt · 02/05/2018 11:41

@Rockerfella Hope everything is okay Flowers

@MustBeThin I was very happy with my big mug of tea, but now... Potent tea sounds rather lovely.

Ollivander84 · 02/05/2018 12:04

Must - ordered online so hasn't arrived yet

Babybearsporij · 02/05/2018 12:07

I've not tried the biscuit tea, but Tetleys cookies & cream and gingerbread teabags are also very nice.

Toddlerteaplease · 02/05/2018 12:34

I've been looking for it. Where can you get it from?

Toddlerteaplease · 02/05/2018 12:36

I got the Easter egg tea from Bluebird. It's lovely but far to weak.

MustBeThin · 02/05/2018 12:37

@Ollivander84 you'll have to let us know what you think Grin

@Okaynowimconfused Bluebird is only available on their website it in their own shops.

@Twilightcafe 😂 yes I wouldn't mind some free tea.

MustBeThin · 02/05/2018 12:42

Not tried the Easter egg one @Toddlerteaplease but have lots of their other teas and not had any problems with them being weak. I presume you are using enough? I have one of their own spoons and just use a heaped spoonful in a standard size mug regardless of what tea I have and brew for however many mins is recommended usually 3-4 depending on the tea. Or are you using tea bags? I've never had their tea bags so not sure what they are like.

TSSDNCOP · 02/05/2018 12:44

But what if you eat biscuits with it??? Will it be like double denim???

KikiMadeMeDoIt · 02/05/2018 12:52

@TSSDNCOP Be gluten intolerant, it takes away all of those difficult choices of what biscuit to have. Gluten free biscuits don’t come into the equation as they seem to be made of cardboard, pot pourri and despair.

Toddlerteaplease · 02/05/2018 20:08

@MustBeThin, I'm using the tea bags and leave it in. £6 a box!!!!

twilightcafe · 02/05/2018 21:44

Curiosity got the better of me.

I bought a pack of Biscuit tea. Definitely smells of digestives yet it doesn't taste too biscuity. It's got a rich, malty taste without the caffeine jitters that I usually get from strong tea.

I'm on my third cup, so I must be enjoying it!

FizzPopping · 03/05/2018 17:51

I've just picked up a box based on this thread as well, looking forward to a cuppa later! £2 on offer in Sainsburys (think it's only about 30p off but a deal's a deal)

Ollivander84 · 02/06/2018 00:03

Update! I'm on my second order from what's now bird and blend tea company
The Eton mess one is delicious and I love the Morning Kick one too

CadyHeron · 02/06/2018 00:46

Yorkshire Tea fans in this house too. The biscuit one is great, got a box the other week!
Love the bedtime brew as well, when I'm being good and not having wine I love a few cups of that on a night. Delicious and relaxing

DameDoom · 02/06/2018 00:58

My grandma used to smell of damp nylon, warm digestives and milky tea. Not sure it needs recreating.
However, Yorkshire Tea is the best tea in the world so I could be wrong.
