There's a lot of speculation. Some are going wildly into it being radiation poisoning etc.

My guess would be active TB.

monkeysee100 · 14/03/2018 11:22

Not good whatever it is!

I was going to say TB too. It's very odd though

Phosphorus · 14/03/2018 11:23

I agree with Birds . Probably drug resistant TB.

Luckyme2 · 14/03/2018 11:25

She's been found now according to BBC

FiveGoPrematurelyGrey · 14/03/2018 11:25

She has been found apparently.

FissionChips · 14/03/2018 11:28

So they won't publish what the condition is (as that would be a breach of confidentiality) but they're happy to name her!

FizzyGreenWater · 14/03/2018 11:45

How totally bizarre.

cucaracha · 14/03/2018 11:46

if it is TB maybe we will finally offer the BCG to all the kids in this country, not a select few.

LagunaBubbles · 14/03/2018 11:59

I dont see what is wrong with naming her if she had to be found for whatever reason.

Olikingcharles · 14/03/2018 12:09

Could be Measles we've had few cases lately in our state. They always issue a warning when looking for the carrier.

cdtaylornats · 14/03/2018 12:34

Scarlet Fever outbreak at a school in Clackmannanshire

Ski4130 · 14/03/2018 12:46

She was named so they could find her. This is where I live, and it's been all over social media/local news etc in an effort to track her down, which she now thankfully has been, and has returned to hospital.

It's a little more important than it would be on a usual quiet Wednesday here, as it's Gold Cup week, so the town's population grows by tens of thousands, most of whom seem to wander aimlessly around getting in the way. Not sure anyone wanted an extra God knows how many people exposed to anything.

I'm betting TB. It's the only condition that a person can be held against their will to receive treatment for as it can be highly drug resistant and some people who have it are very likely to not complete treatment due to chaotic nature of their lifestyles. Very rare to actually use the legislation to hospitalise someone

DobbyisFREE · 14/03/2018 14:14

I understand confidentiality but a description on the method it can be passed would have been useful so the appropriate precautions could be taken.

Luckyme2 · 14/03/2018 14:24

Ah sorry I assumed named after she'd been found too. My mistake. Makes sense to name her locally in the search

OutyMcOutface · 14/03/2018 14:26

Must be TB.

TIRFandProud · 14/03/2018 14:50

I reckon she has rabies!

CuriousaboutSamphire · 14/03/2018 15:01

I too think it is TB... I know about it as I was about to do a job in the same road as the hospital... there are loads of AirBnB, B+Bs etc rentals there, jam packed with racegoers. So the authorities were a tad keen to find her.

They won't name the condition, unless she was somewhere scarily full, as they don't want hoards of freaked out racegoers flocking into the hospital and any GP surgery they can find.

If you haven't been to Cheltenham in race week, imagine Oxford Street at Christmas, but with everyone heading in one direction for about an hour and then, suddenly, silence. Only to start again a few hours later, in the opposite direction! Rinse and repeat until Saturday, when it gets really busy Smile

Judashascomeintosomemoney · 14/03/2018 15:24

They inadvertently will have Itsallabit, if they’ve ever holidayed in Eastbourne. Smile

Maybe that's what's ailing the people in Morrison's who follow the bloke with the reductions gun 🤔
