I reckon that Wall St thinks Lamb will edge it........

AcrossthePond55 · 14/03/2018 01:36

52% Dem /47% GOP with 62% reporting per MSNBC

Too close to call still.

OnTheDarkSideOfTheSpoon · 14/03/2018 01:38

The needle is off duty!

cozietoesie · 14/03/2018 01:40

Westmoreland County problems........

cozietoesie · 14/03/2018 01:42

Pain - I'd go to bed. I smell a recount in the air.

AcrossthePond55 · 14/03/2018 01:45

51/48 with 75% in.

TheClaws · 14/03/2018 01:50

It does look promising, though. Recount or no.

cozietoesie · 14/03/2018 01:53

It's already promising. (Whether there's a Dem win or not.) PA18 is heavily red.

thecatfromjapan · 14/03/2018 01:55

Just de-lurking to say I'm up and slightly scared to go to bed in case that somehow tips Pennysylvania's voting ...

AcrossthePond55 · 14/03/2018 01:56

50/50 with 93%. GOP leads by about 250 votes.

OnTheDarkSideOfTheSpoon · 14/03/2018 01:56

Definitely notable whatever the results

Tightening race in #pa18, as Connor Lamb's lead shrinks to 50.4%-49.0% with 87 percent reporting. Suddenly, some in GOP thinks there's a (small) chance Saccone may win

I know you’re right cozie. Will head to bed soon

OnTheDarkSideOfTheSpoon · 14/03/2018 01:56

Lamb up by only 703 votes with 94% of the vote in #PA18

AcrossthePond55 · 14/03/2018 01:57

Oops. 72 votes.

cozietoesie · 14/03/2018 01:58

Have a thought for poor Mrs Moon who is watching to find out whether she has to trudge down to the bunker again.........

OnTheDarkSideOfTheSpoon · 14/03/2018 01:59

Pretty impressive whatever the result, I’d say

AcrossthePond55 · 14/03/2018 02:00

Fuck! I got it wrong!!! Dem is LEADING by 928 votes! 95% reporting.

OnTheDarkSideOfTheSpoon · 14/03/2018 02:00

cozie genuinely snorted then

Josh Dorner
@JoshDorner
GOP groups spent almost $10M to try and save a Trump +20 district that is literally disappearing in 8 months. Even in the post-Citizens United era, this will not be possible in the 100+ districts as competitive numerically as #PA18.

OnTheDarkSideOfTheSpoon · 14/03/2018 02:02

I have a sinking feeling that the county that broke the needle by saying it was going to dump the results at the end was a republican heavy one (she says in a completely blatant attempt to manage expectations). But at this point, I’m counting tonight as a win - those blue arrows are pretty encouraging

cozietoesie · 14/03/2018 02:03

Well - if the GOP were to lose this, 45 would be bealing!

OnTheDarkSideOfTheSpoon · 14/03/2018 02:05

Does this mean we won’t know for another two hours?

A @CNN reporter is in Allegheny County talking about absentee ballots. Hundreds of ballots have already arrived, and staffers are tabulating the results. Absentee ballots are expected to be tabulated by midnight, per CNN. #PA18 #District18

cozietoesie · 14/03/2018 02:06

It sounds like it. Wink

OnTheDarkSideOfTheSpoon · 14/03/2018 02:07

I didn’t realise that in November the seat is up for election again!

AcrossthePond55 · 14/03/2018 02:07

Sorry for bad quality. Pic taken of our TV screen with my iPad.

cozietoesie · 14/03/2018 02:08

Oh Yes. Or some seat.

AcrossthePond55 · 14/03/2018 02:10

It's all good. Incumbents usually have an advantage.
