We need a new mattress, I spent yesterday researching online and reading the Which? guide and now my brain is about to explode!!!! I've read so many contradictory things...........
I want something with good support (I'm a fatty) not soft, needs to be medium/firm. I was looking at the new style Simba / Eve / Emma type but would they be too warm?My current mattress has a memory foam top which I find too warm

Help me!

I’ve just spent 2 weeks researching mattresses and visiting bed shops/John Lewis to test. I’ve gone for the Simba. Great reviews and felt nice when trying it. If you buy direct from Simba you get 100 day trial and can return with full refund. Mine arrives on Wednesday!

We have a Simba and a Casper and love them both. I tried the eve and didn't like it so sent it back

...Not one from Bensons for Beds is the correct answer to this. Still in a complex wrangle with them because they won't honour warranties or consumer rights obligations and I have never seen a company social media feed as appalling as theirs is.

We went to John Lewis and the in house bedologist helped me choose. Theses are the tips. When you lay in the bed together, when one of you rolls the other should not be overly disturbed. Your bum should sink into the mattress but your feet should almost feel like they are slightly elevated when laying on your back.

We have a Leesa, not overly warm, extremely comfortable, probably medium/firm. Pretty much all the Bruno/Leesa/Eve/Simba/Caspar/Emma mattresses have the 100 day guarantee with a good reputation for honouring without quibble, and there's probably not a huge difference between them, which will be why the reviews don't give a stand out winner, people's preferences will skew the results, so I'd just pick one and if you don't like it, return it and pick another one. We got the Leesa because we were slightly limited in choice due to needing an Ikea sized one and I like the Scummy Mummies advertising on their podcast that they were doing at the time, it wasn't an objective choice. Also, if you pick one, make sure you use a discount code, again, pretty much all this type have a £50-100 discount code available if you look for one.

Vi-spring. Yes they are quite dear, but when I say they change your life beyond measure, you'll wonder how you slept on anything else. You can often pick up seconds on ebay for a fifth of the price, frequently where the packaging has torn and its got something as trivial as a dirty smudge on the corner in storage.
