I know he's a love-hate character on here but I can't knock him for this.

Aibu to raise awareness of #charityninjas

Late at night, JM will find a charitable go fund me page and advertise it to get its target reached overnight, so the recipient wakes up to a full target. I think it's bloody brilliant.

Sometimes nice people do arsehole things. Sometimes arseholes do nice things. Not sure which JM is. He’s a shit comedian but it’s hardly a hanging offence. There are plenty of those. He’s a shit partner and role model for his children in terms of relationships, that’s certainly true. Glad he’s able to use his celebrity status for some good. Won’t knock him for that.

DalekDalekDalek · 11/03/2018 01:54

He does plenty of things that make him a total cock (things that aren't illegal) but if charities get the money they need then I can ignore him being a wanker.

VladmirsPoutine · 11/03/2018 02:01

People are complex beings. It's not an either/or. He has behaved appallingly toward his family but does good things for charity. It is possible to be both good and bad. And it is subjective.

Laquack · 11/03/2018 02:19

Personal life seems a bit of a mess, but I really like him, like the work he does for charity and really really liked it when he encouraged parents who have kids with sn’s and people with an to go to the Chitty tour and not worry about any noises, movements etc they might make. Just come and enjoy the show.

DannyLaRuesBestFrock · 11/03/2018 02:29

Some people balance out the good they do, with the bad they do.

If I treat my family like shite, that's bad. If I raise money for charity, that's good. So one cancels the other out.

Ooh thank you most gracious Jason. For allowing my child to enjoy the theatre on your say so.

Laquack · 11/03/2018 02:41

He was encouraging people who might be nervous about it, I liked the encouragement anyway not everyone has to.

Basically a professional northerner is a northerner who has an accent and does well. It seems to annoy some people no end.

LifeBeginsAtGin · 11/03/2018 09:32

We've seen him live - thought he was very funny, professional and value for money as he doesn't have a warm up act.

What he does in his private life is no ones business. Maybe his marriages were unhappy - has anyone actually spoken to his ex???

Costacoffeeplease · 11/03/2018 10:15

I’m sure they were very unhappy marriages, when your husband continually cheats it’s rarely sunshine and flowers

Costacoffeeplease · 11/03/2018 10:49

I’ve just looked at his Wikipedia page, which lists him as ‘philanthropist and singer’ amongst his other many talents Grin

That’s given me a bigger laugh than he ever has Grin

MsHomeSlice · 11/03/2018 10:55

it's a slippery slope though isn't it?

....how much good needs to be done to cancel out all the twattiness?

Costacoffeeplease · 11/03/2018 10:58

Anyone can do good things, thankfully only twats are twats

IntelligentYetIndecisive · 11/03/2018 23:28
