Well, since you asked..... it's 19th November!

Richard Herring, twitter.com/Herring1967 is currently providing a sterling public service in letting everyone - particularly anyone feeling a bit 'what-about-the-menz' today - know that there is an International Men's Day too.

In doing so, he's also raising money for Refuge www.justgiving.com/fundraising/November19th?utm_source=twitter

AIBU to encourage you, if you would like to and feel like celebrating International Women's Day by donating to a charity which provides important services for women and children, to donate too?

Yeah actually. You seen someone die at work by any chance? I have...pretty gruesomely may I add.

I also had to listen to his misses who couldn't even begin to comprehend that her husband and her children's father had gone to work one day and just wasn't coming back. She was due to pick up the kids 5 minutes after she got the call as well...how would she even explain.

So yes I do have a lot more sympathy for blue collar blokes like him than a bunch of morally indigent, self righteous, privilaged, sheltered, self concerned charlatans that play at been feminists when it suits them.

People like him keep this society (and its critical life saving or life preserving infrustructure) running. People like these feminists above are parasites on this nation, sat in cushty offices parroting david brent-esque buzzwords about equality and diversity (aka modern left wing ideology).

I quite enjoyed the NewsThump article

ghostyslovesheets · 08/03/2018 13:45

what about 'blue collar' women - even if they are feminists ...

BeastInView · 08/03/2018 13:45

So how did your colleague die? Was it a H&S failure? Or were these 'parasitic' feminists to blame?

And I notice you don't mention blue collar women. Or is your world solely made up of blue collar blokes and parasitic middle class women?

Mummyoflittledragon · 08/03/2018 13:49

What are you talking about? The 1918 Representation of the People act gave all men over the age of 21, regardless of landownership status the right to vote in 1918. Whereas the poor, feeble minded women had to wait until they were 30. If you want to talk about 1928, women were finally given equal rights in 1928 to be allowed to vote from 21. But hey, poor menz. And how the fuck do you think women would have had more rights than men between 1918 and 1928. Wow just wow.

BeastInView · 08/03/2018 13:49

You seen someone die at work by any chance?

You had a friend murdered by her partner?

ghostyslovesheets · 08/03/2018 13:50

yes there are obviously no working class, poor, economically exploited women or rich middle class men in some people's world

it's INTERNATIONAL Women's Day btw - you know - encompassing all women including the ones being bombed, mutilated, trafficked, stoned to death and dying in industrial accidents Hmm

lettuceWrap · 08/03/2018 13:53

Rale124 needs to return to thier sub-bridge dwelling forthwith.

CarefullyDrawnMap · 08/03/2018 13:56

And 'pump-a-snatch'. Poor dears, they're getting all hysterical.

MrsDustyBusty · 08/03/2018 13:57

IWD is very hard for the Poor Old Men.

BMOT · 08/03/2018 13:57

I hope the post “it’s always man day”
Was tongue in cheek !!!

rale124 · 08/03/2018 14:00

What blue collar women? Ive seen about 2 in over 20 years out of thousands of workers. And to be quite frank one of them was an incompetent, lazy mare who played the damsel in distress card to her co-workers abit to much for my liking.

End of the day men are typically judged romantically by their ability to provide security. In todays modern society that security is more often financial than physical.

This creates a pressure on men to earn good money. For working class men that good money often found in dangerous trade work (inherently dangerous, don't try and dispute I'm a NEBOSH qualified health and safety advisor).

Bloke died from a grinding wheel fracture. Google them if you want to see.

HSE found company provided adaquate PPE and training but it only minimises the risks in the end. There is an inherent risk within every bonded resin grinding wheel of explosive fracture at high speeds.

Hence why I say the work is inherently risky. But nice try at framing it as corporate cronyism.

ghostyslovesheets · 08/03/2018 14:01

Whose idea was it to to have InternationalWomensDay on the same day as International Insecure Mens day

as posted on Twitter

ghostyslovesheets · 08/03/2018 14:01

hahaha oh Ral you showed your hand too soon - wont miss you though - back to your men's rights reddit group :

BeastInView · 08/03/2018 14:04

Man's life doesn't turn out as he hopes so he takes comfort in despising women instead. Tale as old as time.

ghostyslovesheets · 08/03/2018 14:05

it's all the fault of feminism - capitalism had nothing to do with it shocker!

rale124 · 08/03/2018 14:15

You do realise while your sat there blaming capitalism that YOU are one of the market forces that drives the demand for security, power, food, water etc that people DIE to provide. Or are you just that economically illiterate?

Comparison to DV murders are not accurate, since as harsh as it is to say, DV victims aren't dying to provide others with critical infrustructure and services.

My point is not that looking down your nose at blue collar working class people while preaching about the terrible existance of been a white collar, middle class women is immoral (quite frankly I know it is).

My point is its economically ignorant and personally short sighted to....since your so dependent on them.

But if thats really how you feel go hunt your own food and drill for your own fuel. Because that is exactly what will happen if attitudes like this persist (already key stategic skills shortages going on).

ghostyslovesheets · 08/03/2018 14:20

no I am single and self supporting though

BertrandRussell · 08/03/2018 14:21

Rale- why is any of that relevant to feminism? Incidentally, if you are talking about deaths at work, more woman prostitutes die providing sexual services for men than men die providing oil for men and women.
