In the queue at Costa, my (slim, fit, active, healthy - not that it matters!) 3yo DD points to the chocolate biscuit/cake things and asks for one. Before I could say anything the man ahead of us in the queue turns to her and says "no you can't have one, it will make you fat"
I was too agog to reply, but would I have been unreasonable to tell him to fuck off and stop passing judgement on what the hell other people do with their bodies?
I am still agog! (And yes she got the biscuit. Even if I had been planning on saying no that made it a yes. Blah blah occasional treat scratch cooking normally blah blah.)
