just spreading the info!

Monday night... DS 8.5 months 39.6 temp and was advised calpol / ibroprofen.... of course doesnt like taking it - tried multiple ways - vomited up, crying over the 20 plus minutes we took to gently give it to him - just awful - hardly had enough.

yesterday i googled mumsnet for advice and up popped an old thread talking about Alvedon

called around chemists yesterday and then bought (£21!!!!) them and they did the trick - so thank you MUMSNET!!! this is my 3rd DC and cant believe this is the first time in 6 years I knew about these!

They are totally commonplace in many other European countries and a sensible price to buy over the counter. They have have different strengths based on the weight of the child. It's such a British thing to have an issue with suppositories. It's such a game changer with little kids, less traumatic all round. Glad you discovered this.
