Friend messaging my friend(s) on Facebook to talk about me

I recently found out from a really good friend of mine that a person (extended blood family) - who unfriended me on Facebook over a difference of opinion - contacted her by Facebook messenger and tried to engage her in conversation ABOUT me. They have never met. Am I being unreasonable to think it’s a bit odd and should I say something to her?

Did your friend engage?

If not, I’d not bother, note the extended is a bitch and move on.

I hope your friend ignored her. If she's that interested in what you're up to she should message you directly.

My friend was gobsmacked and as far as I know tried not to engage. I didn’t think to ask what was said to be honest as I was just shocked that it had happened. From conversations I have had with family person about Facebook I am shocked because she unfriended me partly because she disagreed with the way I used Facebook (restricting who can see certain posts for example) but then thinks it is ok to contact my friend to talk about me!
