To despise my racist pisshead neighbours

Sunday night and drinking is in full swing not got work or anything tomorrow. Now at the stage where they are all drunkenly singing along merrily. Give it another hour and they'll be rowing into the night squawking at one another waking my little boy up. Even when their not drinking I hear every single word. Terrace houses and noise travels. they have nothing nice to say about anyone especially certain ethnic minorities. Currently discussing why black people need to get over racism cause they're not slaves anymore.
They can't get through a sentence without swearing.Hardly ever see them except returning with more alcohol. Sooo glad to be moving soon I really feel for the next lot of tenants wish I could warn them

I seem to always be posting on noisy neighbour threads - i can't help it! Been there and done that. For years and years and year I had to put up with it until a stroke of luck fell upon me, enabling me to move.

So glad to hear you're moving soon. I had similar feelings about wanting to warn the next lot of tenants about the neighbours from my old flat. Even had ideas to write a note and slip it somewhere they might come across during viewings.

I would hope that if the next tenant is annoyed by them, they'll get right onto the environmental health team at the council and get the ball rolling regarding complaint process for anti-social behaviour. Did you report them at all during your time living there?

Moominfan · 04/03/2018 22:06

To be fair They're not especially noisey it's just a terribly built terrace. Where I'm moving to is an end house so hopefully will have better luck. What I really need is a massive detached house with acres of land and nothing but wildlife for company

We had awful neighbour's. We looked at lots of houses but DH wouldn't even view a semi just in case. I remember feeling frustrated with him at the time but he was so right.

We're finally settled into our detached dream home.

It's taken us a long time to get here but we are so happy.

I've also learned that escalation just leads to misery. All the best OP, it's nearly over!

I have a semi detached house and I am plagued with the noise of my neighbours. I would have thought with only one attached house this would be quieter than living in a block of flats. It is not!

I too would love a house with a bit of land around me

Neighbours not neighbour's. I have no idea why autocorrect is out to ruin me, ruin me I tell you!

I hate your neighbours too OP. Stick some music on nice and early to help you get into the mood for work.

Maybe take up basketball against the adjoining wall as part of your exercise routine.
