In thinking of taking ds (4) to Bestival?

Posting here for traffic.

I'm a festival vet but never been to Bestival.

I'd be happy with Camp Bestival but dh says the line up is too crap for that money.

Has anyone been to Bestival with kids or what so Bestival goers think?

Ds is 4.5.

We'd also be staying in the pre pitched area with quieter bogs. (In theory.)

I have been to Bestival a couple of times ( I don’t have kids) but I would absolutely take kids to Bestival. One of the best, family-friendly festivals I have been to. Loads of facilities, great food, kid friendly areas. Also it’s fancy dress all weekend so even more fun! Go for it! You’ll have a great time x

YANBU
I've been going to festivals my entire life. I have very fond memories of running naked around the free festivals as a tot in the 80's. Then did the whole drink and drugs thing as a young adult.
Now its full circle- taking kids to festivals as a Mum.
I've never done Bestival but I've had great times with kids at some of the Scottish festivals.
