It's driving me insane!

I can't stop coughing during the night!

I just want to sleep :(

Any useful tips on how to stop or at least reduce the coughing?

Yes, 3 weeks and 1 day now. I think DH is ready to divorce me. It is loosening up slightly now. No tips really, i have olbas oil, strepsils & cough medicine by the bed. I'm fine once I actually get to sleep.

I had this for five months in 2015. My doctor said it's called the hundred day cough. Mine got so bad I had to have time off work as I was coughing badly every few seconds 24/7. Eventually the strain got so much I sprung a joint out of my rib twice and had to go for x rays. The joint springing was a very weird and painful experience, couldn't raise my arms above my head for days!

I learned never to underestimate a cough lol. My ex I lived with at the time had it too for about four months.

Pretty upset to hear it may not go away for a while. Am hoping the penicillin will help.

I'm on week 7, I've got asthma but the practice nurse tells me my chest is clear (doesn't feel like it) and my Oxygen sat levels are "exceptional"! It's nowhere near as bad as it was weeks 3 and 4 but the damn thing just won't go away!

Me 😞 28 weeks pregnant also and my chest feels like it's on fire from all the coughing and being sick.

The night time coughing started last week but was just annoying more then anything. Yesterday it progressed into this.

Have just woken up with it - started feeling a bit wheezy last night but thought it might be candles causing it. Feel rough as anything, all joints are killing me, headache and swollen tummy. Typical as 1st day of time off from work . Even worse, the cough is so strong that I have to hold onto my foof to stop me peeing myself too!!

Got it 7 weeks ago, and just about free now. The cold I now have is luxury in comparison!

I had a viral throat that was red raw and burning for a week which then turned into a drippy cold for the 2nd week. I'm now in the 3rd week and the cold has dried up but left me with the cough.
Sick of feeling shit!

Not alone! I also still have it and it's driving me absolutely insane 😩

My 2 boys have it. :( they're 3 and 6 month old!! 3 year old has had it for about a month and half! 6 month old has just bought it about 3 days ago, along with conjunctivitis :(
