I have just got out of the bath and peered out of the window to see a car driving normalish speed with a kid of about 9 on a sledge attached with rope to the tow bar.

How dangerous is this? I imagine very dangerous. And is there a possibility at all this kid has hitched a lift and the driver is actually unaware?

Wow that's so dangerous

endofthelinefinally · 01/03/2018 20:26

I would be ringing the police.
That child could be killed.

Awwlookatmybabyspider · 01/03/2018 20:29

ShockThe child was attached to the car getting pulled along on a sledge. Have I read that correctly.
Please God some sees them soon.
I'm praying there's not a fatality.

Do you think the police will be able to do anything? They haven't come back up since and I am not entirely sure what car it was or even what colour. I think it was white. Would it be 101 or 999?

Nah not have known, we used to hide behind my friends uncles pick up and hold on with our roller blades on, let go at the end of the cup de sac.

We were in a lot of trouble when my mother saw us.

StickThatInYourPipe · 01/03/2018 20:32

**May not Nah!

JellyMouldJnr · 01/03/2018 20:33

ooh that's made my blood run cold.

Samantha77hat · 01/03/2018 20:33

You aren't even sure about the colour of the car, it's not a lot for the Police to go on really

StickThatInYourPipe · 01/03/2018 20:34

Oh and OP even if they didn’t know, I think I would still call 111 it’s still very dangerous and fucking stupid!

witchofzog · 01/03/2018 20:35

No I really don't know. The car was passing as I peered out and I was looking at the child more than the car as I couldn't believe what I was seeing. The snow and the streetlights are giving everything a yellow hue so it was either white or possibly silver

witchofzog · 01/03/2018 21:01

On Facebook?? Bloody hell talk about advertising your stupidity.

And Shock at that Telegraph article. Can't believe he went on main roads. At least my road is quiet. I just hope he went home straight away and didn't head a few streets away where there is a main road

I can't believe that idiot, summer, How can anyone be so callous with their child's life. Well not only their child's life other road users. Good God its a miracle no one was killed. He deserves a lengthy sentence. I've got zero sympathy. He'll probably 2 years suspended for 3, though.
