this level of crisp consumption isn't normal?

A food delivery came yesterday, including 14 packs of hula hoops and 6 packs of quavers, total 20 packets of crisps. The DDs and I had a packet each yesterday and DD1 had a packet in her lunch bag today. So that accounts for 4 packets. So there should be 16 packets left.

I've just looked and there are only 11 packets left. Which means that DP ate five packets of crisps yesterday. He's a greedy pig right?

I could eat that if in the right mood

The DDs didn't eat them as they are on a high shelf. He often snarfs food before I get to it - eg packet of lovely M&S crackers, I open them, we both try them, wow lovely we say. Next time I go back to the packet, 3 left. Some chilli nuts recently, I found the packet and nearly all gone. Surely its social of an evening to open some nuts and say 'Do you fancy some' not just snarf them in secret?

He also eats the kids sweets, in fact they are so used to it, when its Father's day or xmas/birthday, they insist on buying him his own sweets.

I bought some jelly babes for running and said 'these are for running' yep, he opened them and ate half the packet.

Mini cheddars - he'll eat the little packets when we have regular biscuit ones in the house.

I often go in the kitchen and find him eating the crisps, and in the car there are always packets of crips and chocolate wrappers.

Five packets is a bit much, as they are for sharing and for the children. I think I'll start hiding them in the cleaning cupboard, as he'll never look there.

If I say anything he'll be all shirty with me and say I'll buy more, but that won't be for when I need them.

Yes, I can order more, he'll just eat proportionately more!

Don’t talk to me about crisps, I may cry. My Ocado delivery arrived today and the driver said he’d refunded me for my Pringles as the packer had put a bag of bloody Catsan on top of them and they were crushed! They were Texas BBQ flavour as well Sad

AnnieAnoniMouse · 01/03/2018 20:18

Is there anything he’s allowed to eat 🤣

How long was it between you opening the M&S crackers then going back & finding only a few left?

Can you afford to buy more snacks?

I really do think he needs a cupboard for his snacks and needs to leave your kids, yours & the mindees alone. His ‘crime’ is eating food intended for others, not what/how much he’s eating, that’s his business.

Eating that many unhealthy snacks doesnt sound like a good idea. Is he significantly overweight or eating snacks instead of meals OP?

Motoko · 01/03/2018 21:05

a thing that's like wotsits, but peanut flavoured

That sounds like the peanut puffs that Lidl sell sometimes.

How fat is he?

BelleandBeast · 01/03/2018 23:54

No idea but by looking he is overweight - could do with losing 2 st maybe, he complains about his girth so I remind him the fruit bowl is always full

I could lose as stone myself mind but I do run 3 week and its mainly pudding in a dry New Year

Stop buying crisps and sweets. No one needs to eat them.
Job done !

notangelinajolie · 02/03/2018 00:43

Totally doable. Crisps are meant to block binged.
