So happy, I have reached a BMI of 24.9 today, the first time I've been in the healthy range for 5 years. Can't share in real life as my close friends are trying to lose weight and I don't want to sound like a cow boasting....but it's my personal victory and I 'm on cloud 9! :):):)

Absolutely brilliant. As someone who has faced the same struggle, I know how hard you must have worked.

bellasuewow · 01/03/2018 12:53

Well done brilliant, how did you do it op???????

GaryWilmotsTeeth · 01/03/2018 12:54

congratulations!! very well done.

this is my goal too, although I've only just started. I'm down from 29 to 28, so going in the right direction.

FollowYourOwnNorthStar · 01/03/2018 12:56

Well done you! 🌟

I was celebrating my BMI being 39.9 today (first time in 4 years being below 40, and out of Obese 3 category). Like you, I can’t tell anyone in RL for various reasons.

You have inspired me greatly. I hope one day I can post the same thing you have.

Marcine · 01/03/2018 12:56

Congratulations! I am also trying to head from obese down to healthy - halfway there.

OneMoreFrog · 01/03/2018 13:02

Thank you paap It is so hard to lose but so easy to gain! I feel so much better now though and like the old 'me'...think I'm just going to be grinning all day today! Well done on your weight loss too paap

bella I started with Les Mils Body combat (3 times a week) and a weekly run, I'm now doing Les Mils Yoga and conditioning exercises as I hurt my ankle running so much..I've been counting calories, usually have porridge for breakfast, sandwich for lunch (which amounts to 600kcal) and a 600kcal dinner. It really has worked, and what's more these changes feel like proper changes, I used to do fad diets and the weight plus more would come back on but now I'm approaching maintenance I think I can stick with the same types of foods I've been eating just slightly more and I've really learnt about portion sizes...

Wishing you success Gary, you'll get there! :)

And Follow, Marcine well done for moving down the categories, you are on your way down! :)

Amazing Thanks Well done, OP.

I'm in the same boat. I am also not shouting it from the roof tops IRL. I've lost 3.5 stone and am a healthy BMI for the first time in a long time.

Fist bump to all those doing the same.

specialsubject · 01/03/2018 13:28

Yay!! And well done on eating good filling complex carbs, fewer calories and moving more. A well deserved slap to all the slimming clubs, sugar shake peddlers and other dirty scammers.

WeaselsRising · 01/03/2018 13:36

Well done. That is fantastic.

Wishfulmakeupping · 01/03/2018 13:37

Amazing op well done 🎉 what an achievement 👍

FrogFairy · 01/03/2018 13:40

From one frog to another, bloody well done!

NeverTwerkNaked · 01/03/2018 13:41

Amazing news!! I found myself teetering near “obese” and am now taking action. Using the same method as you - increasing my exercise and calorie counting! Am finding porridge for breakfast is really helping.
You’ve motivated me to keep going!!

NeverTwerkNaked · 01/03/2018 13:42

BMI was 29, now it’s 27 so I can see it slowly heading in the right direction! Snow has put a stop to my runs this week though

stevie69 · 01/03/2018 13:42

Amazing. Well done you Smile

Mine took seven years and I did shout it from the rooftops Blush

Thistlebelle · 01/03/2018 13:45

Well worth a little boast and a big cheer! Flowers

juddyrockingcloggs · 01/03/2018 13:45

This is brilliant! Well done to you!

It's not an easy thing to do or in fact maintain!

LaGattaNera · 01/03/2018 13:48

Well done OP many do not understand the struggles of weight loss and the emotional highs and lows - hope you carry on feeling fantastic and that you treat yourself to a non-food present to celebrate Flowers woo hoo!!

Yazoop · 01/03/2018 13:48

Well done you! I'm in the middle of doing the same - started of at BMI 33 and now BMI 27. Have done it by adopting a similar sensible and balanced approach to food as you :) Bye crappy diets! Now need to take a leaf from your exercise book to get to under BMI 25....

Enjoy your improved health, body, and attitude to food and exercise Smile

Yazoop · 01/03/2018 13:49

agh, started "off" not "of"!

sausagedogsmakechipolatas · 01/03/2018 13:51

Bloody well done!

QueenOfGaviscon · 01/03/2018 13:55

Congrats OP Smile

YouCantGetHereFromThere · 01/03/2018 13:56

Well done to all of you losing weight!

Snow has put a stop to my runs this week though

This is my excuse. Unfortunately we have snow on the ground from Dec to early April :-)
