I would when I was about 8 , being on the middle of a slide and falling off it , injuring my back

First photo is original injury you can see large red area where Horse stood on me, then the tissues and muscle died and turned black (necrotic) other photos is after the removal of the dead area and the skin graft over it

Fell off the top of a fence onto the actual fence, missed the femeral artery in my leg by 3 mm and now have a lovely v shaped scar with little dots around it where I ripped out the stitches

I was knitting, stood up and tripped over, dropped my needles and somehow kicked a knitting needle into the floor on the way down. Ended up with a knitting needle through my foot. From the top through to the bottom, didn't come out the bottom but you could see the tip through a thin piece of skin.

Couldn't pull it out, it was wedged under a bone, so went to the hospital. Wish I'd asked for a copy of the x rays!

Scalded my face when a kelly kettle exploded as I was warming my hands over the top of it.
Thankfully we were fishing at the time so had a ready supply of freezing water which did us the 45 minutes until the ambulance arrived.

Oh and I forgot about the time I broke my front tooth hugging a Staffie. As I came out of the hug it turned its head to lick my face and accidentally head butted me.

As a child I was jumping over a cricket bat I was holding and didn’t make it over. I broke my hymen quite violently and had a very bruised area.

I threw myself down in a teenage strop and and a sticking our coat hanger went deep into a buttock, tearing my best pyjamas.

Omgineed the slug bit has made me hysterical

Driving along quite happily when a car turned across in front of me. Went from 60 mph to stationary in a couple of yards, and my poor left boob took most of the impact. I still have lumpy scarring in it five months later, but it is gradually resolving.
I was very lucky, though - I only had one night in hospital and a couple of check ups. It could have been so much worse, and might have been if I had a smaller bust!

Easy, though perhaps outing, putting my leg through a false floor which wasn't properly supported at a deserted aquarium and fracturing my knee.

Fuck apologies for being a terrible person but I love that your nails match your boob bruise

1. ran over my left thumb with a skateboard and broke it

2. 2 weeks later was skipping through a hula hoop and snapped my wrist in 2 places. My nana thought it was just sprained and made me carry 4l of milk to strengthen it. Mum and dad picked me up and I was green with pain. Ended up needing 2 operations I was 6

3. at 19 opened a prosecco bottle at work and the bottle exploded I instinctively tried to grab the bottle and embedded glass in my hand. My forefinger and bottom of my middle finger is still numb

4. snapped ligaments in my knee dancing at a concert

5. ripped cartilage in my knee getting into bed. (Both knees needed operations)

6. broke my shoulder falling out of bed.

Numerous other injuries I'm very clumsy 😂

Not cipro but I could very well have just had antibiotics. I'm very prone to infections so I'm often on them.

Why do you ask?

Broke my toe on a water slide at Center Parcs! Was coming down with DS1 on my lap, DH stood at the bottom ready to catch him and stood right in front of the slide end, rather than to the side.

I crashed into him breaking my toe

Because some of these are so funny and hideous i feel comfortable sharing mine. I ended up with a very blistered and sore clitoris allsort after a full on spinning session and an ahem unfortunately positioned piercing the gym manager who was a good friend wrote it up in the accident book with duplicate sent to head office

Tendon rupture (especially achilles) and rotator cuff tears have been associated with fluoroquinolone antibiotic use (Cipro, Avelox, Levaquin etc). Every time I hear of someone rupturing a tendon from doing something mundane, like just standing up suddenly, I suspect Cipro involvement. I spent 2 years recovering from my own reaction to it. Tendonitis, plantar fasciitis, brain fog, peripheral nerve damage. All sudden onset on day 3 of taking the antibiotic!

Omg, @Salene! That looks worse than mine! At least I had some fat to lessen the impact and it started at the back. Did you have the weird black sponge in to draw off liquid? I was attached to a vacuuming machine for days! Could you walk?

I was catheterised because I couldn’t move for a few days, quite handy! My graft failed behind the knee as I had to bend it, obviously. The hole down the leg took 4 months to heal, lots of packing and subsequent extracting of disgusting packing!

Making cauliflower rice, blender got clogged so decided to poke my finger in. Result two open fractures

Caught my finger in a blender 😳 bloody sore!

Mum used to have an industrial sewing machine. She used to make pillow cases and other things.

I think I was in year 8? I switched it on and tried to sew something but pushed the peddle too hard and my finger went through it with whatever I was trying to sew. So essentially I sewed my own finger. The sewing needle snapped in my finger and was just a tiny touch away from coming out of my nail.

So in through finger, almost out the other way. Had to go to a and e, they numbed it and sliced my finger open and pulled it out.

My sister did exactly the same thing three days before. Except my mum and aunt pulled it out at home. Eurgh.

I was playing tennis against the wall once and somehow ended up falling/ jumping/ walking onto a garden rake. It went through my foot. Argh!

And my last one, I missed a step and fell onto a concrete slab. It sliced through my nose. Once they stopped the bleed at a and e and cleaned it up they could see my nose bone. I was booked into hospital where they operated on it and must have done a skin graft of some sort. I was 7 years old so I don't remember much. Shortly after that particular accident I got alopecia!

Though it was only last year I realised my alopecia was trauma based alopecia because my eyebrows grew back but for some reason my DD (only 2 at the time) punched me accidentally around my eyes, it bruised up pretty bad and three days later my eyebrows fell out completely. Took me 18 years to grow them back and one punch later it all went again!

A girl in my dds school stood and the spokes of a plug and they went right through her foot. Owwwwwcccchhhh.

A girl at my school did that too. Her foot was a right mess for weeks.

Another girl at my school got her bike handle stuck in her eye. She had to have an operation and was off for months. When she came back her eye was green, red and brown.

I sliced my eyeball on a clothing tag when I was trying a top on in a shop and pulled it quickly over my head. Worst pain ever.
