Melania Trump has parted ways with adviser Stephanie Winston Wolkoff after news broke about Wolkoff’s firm reaping $26,000,000 in payments to help plan Trump’s inauguration, NYT reports.

Interestingly, I saw this. Another reason that Russian bots might've been involved in Brexit?

Luckily we are part of the internal EU energy market & can rely on our EU neighbours to supply gas to the UK in emergencies

Swalwell asked Hope Hicks whether a number of Trump associates, including Kushner and Donald Trump Jr., had ever asked her to lie. She declined to answer in every case but Michael Flynn, who she said had never asked her to lie "in the campaign."

It was then that he asked whether the president had ever asked Hicks to lie for him. Hicks and her counsel then conferred for "five to ten minutes," and she responded, according to Swalwell, by saying, "I have never been asked to lie with respect to the Russia investigation."

The Senate Intel Committee has concluded that Republicans on the House Intel Committee were behind the leak of private text messages between Mark Warner and a Russian-connected lawyer, two congressional officials briefed on the matter tell NYT.

Burr and Warner were apparently so perturbed by the leak that they demanded a rare meeting with Paul Ryan to inform him of their findings.

They used the meeting to raise concerns about the direction of the House Intel Committee under Devin Nunes, officials told NYT.

Slightly off topic but then again, sadly not.

I actually warmed to her after reading that (before realising it probably was a dig at trump and remembering her birthed ways)

The Koch brothers & their allies have asked Trump's team to try to rein in his public outbursts, which they fear will hurt the GOP in the midterms, reports @FoxNews' @schwartzbFBN.

'Researchers from Harvard Medical School and Columbia University reviewed 10 years of data on emergency department visits and hospitalizations during the NRA’s convention dates, as well as the three weeks before and three weeks after. They found that firearm injuries decreased by an average of 20 per cent during NRA conventions.'

OYBBK not tinfoil hat at all. Russia has form for disrupting gas supplies, notably to Ukraine. Although they probably need the gas revenue atm. ( UK also has a problem of doing away with gas storage doesn't it? ). Also interesting that your linked article mentioned Qatar as Russia's biggest competitor in the market........

I don't often post on these threads, but try to read them and thank you all for your posts and insights.

Hello Perihelion.

www.vanityfair.com/news/2018/03/even-for-hope-hicks-the-west-wing-got-too-hot

But in recent weeks, Hicks became disillusioned with her job, people who’ve spoken with her told me. Her closeness to Trump meant she was also nearest to the hottest flames of the fires that have burned in the West Wing, the most intense being the Russia probe. Hicks has racked up substantial legal fees, one source told me. “She’s in immense personal jeopardy,” one Republican close to the White House said yesterday. “This is a sign the Mueller investigation is a lot more serious than any one of us thought.” (Hicks and the White House declined to comment.)

Speaking of Russian gas...
