To send a cab for my five year old?

Totally hypothetical of course.
I'm cold, I'm waiting for the person to come and fix the boiler so we have heating. Baby is unwell.

If I send an uber to school, it's totally acceptable to expect him to locate the number plate and come home...isn't it?

Back in RL, I've already text a friend who can't collect him, so I'm just gonna have to suck it up and venture out in the blizzard aren't I Envy

I think we need a huge eye roll emoticon for this poster.

Valentinesfart · 28/02/2018 14:58

I think we can all tell from your post what kind of a mother you are. No hypothetical about it. We can make space for them over on Stately Homes.

I would love to understand the mindset of those who've ignored the fact it was posted as tongue in cheek.

You're. It'a contraction for "you are".

As in you are a psychopath.

CadyHeron · 28/02/2018 15:22

Ookkkay flapjack is obviously just out for some fight Hmm
Best off ignoring....

superram · 28/02/2018 15:25

There are a lot of misconceptions on this thread. Many taxi companies have a link with la’s and certain drivers have additional checks. They regularly collect children and vulnerable people without a carer (though many with additional needs do have one) or chaperone. It is not a requirement for anyone to wear booster in a taxi but to the pp if my child was going in one everyday for 4 months I would have given them one and they could take it into school. Uber drivers can’t collect from schools.

Oh I missed the last one, wonder what the little delight said now,

GreatDuckCookery6211 · 28/02/2018 15:37

Missed all of them. Guessing flapjack doesn't get the joke then!

Mia1415 · 28/02/2018 16:26

This thread is an amazing example of how many people not only don't read through a thread before posting, but don't actually read the OP!

It could not have been more obvious that the OP was joking and also having a bit of a rant/ moan which is allowed!

GreatDuckCookery6211 · 28/02/2018 16:35

Most of them didn't even read the first line!

blackteasplease · 28/02/2018 16:37

I was about to suggest hiring an uber driver to wait at your house too! I know you were joking but still.

MilesJuppIsMyBitch · 28/02/2018 16:44

Post in chat next time OP.

AIBU is where they direct the loons professionally offended.

I would say they were trolls, but I've met lots of people like this irl.

Exhausting.

fuzzyduck1 · 28/02/2018 17:18

You’d trust a stranger to pick up your kid.

Good luck with that!

And, indeed, RTF post that you're responding to.
