I work in a retail enviroments cafe and love it.I love the banter between regular customers and my staff.

Would hate to be a postie out in all weathers

Anything in a very busy place, like a very busy shop, bar or restaurant.

phoenix1973 · 09/03/2018 12:45

Shop worker. Been there done that.
Traffic warden
Bailiff
Double glazing sales person

I've been a cleaner and I'd do it again if need be. You get ignored and left alone. Fab for me.

Anything indoors where you work with the same people everyday.

Office work. Done it and never want to again

Louiselouie0890 · 09/03/2018 12:50

Clothes shop
I found it so mind numbingly boring.

Flypaperforarseholes · 09/03/2018 12:57

Debt collector or bailiff because I couldn't deal with bringing other people that kind of stress.
Abattoir worker because I am a hypocritical meat-eater who doesn't want to deal with the actual killing of the animals I consume.
Social Worker because I would go to prison very quickly.
Any job within HMRC or DWP because I cold not be part of organisations which cause so much misery.
Air traffic controller because I would dissolve under the pressure and cause a multiple aircraft mid-air disaster.

Customer service call centre - the poor souls who work in places like that get so much unwarranted abuse and my skin isn't thick enough.

I am a domicillary carer and it’s not all about poo and bodily fluids.
It’s about assisting people to maintain/regain their independence. Letting them do as much as they can and assisting with the things they can’t. Daily tasks like wiping arses and replacing catheters are part of the job, but so is finding new clubs to join, finding new assistive technology to help the person and making the calls to the right people get that support put in place.
I couldn’t work in an office and look at a computer all day. That sounds mind numbingly robotic and unfulfilling. And the robots look down on us Grin as soon as I tell somebody that I’m a carer their attitude towards me changes instantaneously and that says much more about them than me Wink
