Chiropodist

Abbotoir worker

Saturday shop assistant (Primark on a Saturday having to put all the discarded clothes back on the rails)

Toll booth money collected (on some grim/cold bridge)

Night worker on the motorway

Teacher

Nursery worker

Childminder

I'd love to be a Dr/Nurse/Pathologist

stopfuckingshoutingatme · 27/02/2018 06:42

Sorry frasier
No IDEA ! As to how lucky they are
Grin off to spend another day with them

WTFIsThisVirus · 27/02/2018 06:43

Sales. I can't stand sales people, and I havent got the gift of the gab

earlgreymarl · 27/02/2018 06:49

Sorting out returned items by post / especially clothes, abbatoir or butcher,

Lallypopstick · 27/02/2018 06:50

Chugger or car salesman.

diodati · 27/02/2018 07:35

Prostitution.

APontypandyPioneer · 27/02/2018 07:59

Troysmammy Oh goodness, sorry to hear about your op and absolutely understandable then. I was genuinely interested as the statement tickled me for some reason! Must be my warped sense of humour.

CigarsofthePharoahs · 27/02/2018 08:25

Anything involving dealing with the general public. I have 10 years of retail work under my belt and I hated every single stinking one of them.
Anything involving being on my feet all day or heavy lifting.
If there was a job for lurking somewhere quiet and watching Netflix all day, I'd be great at it.

ginghamstarfish · 27/02/2018 09:14

Anything to do with septic tanks/ toilets/ drains .... and thanks to the folks who do these jobs!

MrNewcastle · 09/03/2018 11:18

Doctor

MissDuke · 09/03/2018 11:27

Office work
Sales
Anything with animals

itstimeforanamechange · 09/03/2018 11:28

Dentist - I don't have the dexterity anyway, but I wouldn't want a job where everyone who came through the door was scared of me!

Plus nearly everything else on this thread.

sohelpmegoad · 09/03/2018 11:37

I work with Non domestic rates and last week a caller asked what had I done wrong in a past life to have ended up working here in this?

I laughed but as I enjoy my work I do wonder if I should be worried?

NameChanger22 · 09/03/2018 11:41

Manager, senior position with lots of responsibility
Driver
Cleaner
Factory worker
Anything involving heights
Anything dangerous
Cold calling
Meat production or cooking meat
Working in a hospital
Any job where I have to work nights

That kind of rules out a lot of jobs.

Fugitivefrombrusstice · 09/03/2018 12:23

Anything in the abbatoir / meat industry

DamnItPatrice · 09/03/2018 12:28

pest control

paceyswife · 09/03/2018 12:29

A sanitary bin emptier.

paceyswife · 09/03/2018 12:31

Oh and a grim one, I work with a service provider whose job it is to go in and "clean up" following a suicide on the rail/road network. I imagine that is harrowing and distressing work.

Dustysparrow · 09/03/2018 12:31

Scary high powered, high pressure, high responsibility business type job with masses of networking with other scary high powered professionals.

Or Groom of the Stool. Boak.

BitchQueen90 · 09/03/2018 12:32

Military. Anything with children as playing games etc doesn't come naturally to me and I find it tedious (can just about do it with my 4yo but couldn't do it all day for a living!)

My job gets mentioned loads on these threads. There's a fair bit of money in it though if you're good at it (sales).

stevie69 · 09/03/2018 12:33

Pretty much anything other than what I do: I like my chosen vocation Blush

Spudlet · 09/03/2018 12:33

Anything involving the following:
Blood, faeces, urine, spit, sputum, pus, vomit, other bodily fluids

I used to want to be a nurse when I was little, but it's probably fair to say it wouldn't have been my ideal career Grin

BitchQueen90 · 09/03/2018 12:33

Oh, and I couldn't be a manager/team leader or anything like that. I don't want the responsibility.

Afternooncatnap · 09/03/2018 12:34

The person that empties sanatary bins.

Anything that involves heights, underground or small spaces.

Ollivander84 · 09/03/2018 12:35

I'm amazed how many people say carer! I do that, and a contact centre job. And I dislike people Grin

Strangely I have a reputation as a calm, not bothered by anything, never flustered, carer Confused
