A high pressure sales role that involved making people buy stuff they don't want or need. My DH spent years in a job getting adults with learning difficulties out of contracts they'd fallen into buying over the phone.

I'd love to have trained as a hairdresser but literally couldn't be on my feet all day!

Hellywelly10 · 26/02/2018 20:30

Bakedbeans you've just described my whole career!!
I couldn't work in a betting shop, debt collection, teaching or in the armed forces.

appleoftheluck · 26/02/2018 20:34

I have always thought that I would hate to be a chiropodist!

ilovechocolates · 26/02/2018 20:37

Sanitary towel bin changer. Seriously, I'm grateful for the man that changes all the sanitary towel bins in the toilets at work, but how on earth would you describe that to an enquirer?

Working on a sewage farm or anything to do with silage
Anything that means I'd have to get muddy and cold
Anything involving heights
Working in a marmite factory
Anything that uses animal testing

Nursing. Those people deserve a medal. And a massive pay rise.

starzig · 26/02/2018 20:40

Call centre. Hate phones and people

stopfuckingshoutingatme · 26/02/2018 20:42

Building (pain and injury)
ABbatoir worker
Chicken factory
Aneroibic digestion centre operative
Bus driver in a city
Taxi diver In a city
Bin man
Nurse after a certain age
Job centre
Housing officer
Child Protection social worker
Anyone who has to watch child abuse to track down criminals

I take my hats off to everyone that does this work

FlouncyDoves · 26/02/2018 20:44

Fluffer

JustPutSomeGlitterOnIt · 26/02/2018 20:44

ilovechocolates The san bin lady at our work always just goes in and out with her handbag though. That's it.
We have an in-joke that she must be some kind of grim Menstrual Mary Poppins.

stopfuckingshoutingatme · 26/02/2018 20:44

That’s why the moaning fucks in my company annoy me . They have NO fucking and sea how lucky there are . Miserable cunts
Sorry bad day at the office Grin

stopfuckingshoutingatme · 26/02/2018 20:45

AngryCrispLady · 26/02/2018 20:47

stopfuckingshoutingatme

OK, what did this mean to say?

"That’s why the moaning fucks in my company annoy me . They have NO fucking and sea how lucky there are ."

As far as I am aware most offices have no fucking Grin

lljkk · 26/02/2018 21:05

Sales is worst
2nd worst = Cleaning.

Hate both, bad at them, soul-destroying. I don't like routine.
I genuinely admire people who can enjoy cleaning.

Luxanna · 26/02/2018 21:09

Could not be-

A TV licence inspector
A bailiff
A debt collector
Nothing else where my wage came from increasing the misery of people who are already struggling financially.

TroysMammy · 26/02/2018 21:14

PontyPandy Yes I know they are useful but I had an eye op after an accident as a toddler. I would be sick if I had to have to use eye drops and can't watch anyone administer eyedrops. I can't stand anyone telling me about eye problems, I'm a GP Receptionist. I'm tense when having an eye test and I hate seeing photos of Scotch eggs cut in half because they look like eyeballs. That's why I would never be an Optician.

Gorganzolabrie · 26/02/2018 21:52

Dragging dead bodies out of sewers.

overnightangel · 26/02/2018 22:25

Police (sontnthing people realise the stuff they have to see)
Teacher- there to be shot can’t do right for doing wrong

Carers are the most underpaid and underpaid people in the country and it makes me sick.

AvocadosBeforeMortgages · 26/02/2018 23:26

I'd not want a job where each day was the same as the last. I enjoy the seasonal nature of my job, where you have a good idea of where you are in the year by what you're doing that month.

Feodora · 26/02/2018 23:29

Chiropodist or pedicurist. I hate feet!

Feodora · 26/02/2018 23:34

@avocadoes, I am trying to work out what your job is...but sounds lovely

Ski40 · 26/02/2018 23:50

Anything involving bad smells 😁 that rules out quite a few jobs. Though I would do them to feed my family if I had no choice.
Call centres, I would be useless. Too shy.
A slaughterhouse or butcher's.
Anything on a cruise ship as I hate the thought of being in the sea.
Flight attendant as I'm petrified of flying.
Vet as putting an animal to sleep would destroy me 😢

hennessythegreat · 26/02/2018 23:58

Dentist surgeon or anything requiring extreme dexterity

Chesntoots · 26/02/2018 23:58

Anything in an abattoir, dentist, RSPCA etc - I would not be able to keep my hands off people who hurt animals...

My job has been mentioned. That's ok - I don't want to do it any more either!!
