Toy poodle?

Really want to get a toy poodle. Have done a lot of research and know people who have them. Me and partner both work full time, is this doable with a toy poodle puppy? It would be walked daily when we returned from work. We both come from dog homes so know all the commitments that come with owning a dog but neither of us have owned a toy!

DD1 has this one which I think will be suitable. She doesn't mind being left at home all day but you should maybe think about getting another toy to keep her company.

No, nope, never. We can only have a dog because DH works very pt ( semi retired) and ddog is only left for 2 hours 1-2 times per week. Anything more he goes to daycare.
We wanted a dog for 20+ years before we were in a position to look after one properly.

You can't be serious?
We have a toy poodle, and of all the dogs I have had, she is the most labour intensive, simply because she is very bright and wants to be part of everything you are doing. Also, as a puppy she peed around every 20 minutes!
Do not get ANY dog, you are simply not in a position to have one.
Is this a wind up?

I love dogs but haven't had one as an adult, because I work full time and so does dp. I can't see us getting one until we retire. It just wouldn't be fair to leave an animal on its own all day.
