DH was wrong to describe murder crime scene in front of 8yo

over the dinner table?

He told us that a few weeks ago someone was found dying, leaning over a road sign "with a knife hanging out of his back", a street away from DCs' school. The victim since died.

10 yo DS wasn't at the table, but 8yo DD was and is now very upset and worried about it.

DH was incredibly stupid to do this, wasn't he? He's so nonchalant about it and angry for me saying "That's a story for when the kids are in bed!" that he's gone out, in a huff.

He's BU, isn't he?

Yup.

It's the line "knife hanging out of his back" that makes it so easy for a child to imagine. I'm still so angry with him.

Every time I read one of these kinds of posts the 'DH' always goes out in a huff! It's unbelievable, and so childish!! Mine has NEVER left the house in a huff.

He is DBVU

He ALWAYS goes off in a huff. Always. It's a real problem. He cannot be criticised and cannot discuss anything.
