To think sandwiches should be cut into triangles?

Triangle cut sandwiches taste better than rectangle cut ones. gavel

They are scientifically proven* to be easier to eat as the pointy end is more mouth sized.
Vogue said they look better too**

*by me, testing many sandwiches whilst wearing a dressing gown lab coat

**maybe

I’m so pleased other people insist on folded sandwiches for jam.
That rule also applies to dairylea.

gingergenius · 19/02/2018 21:58

I'm going to be bold and say neither - a lovely bap is the way to go!!!

feelslikearockandahardplace · 19/02/2018 22:03

Must be rectangles for bacon or sausage sandwiches. Triangles or rectangles for any other fillings.

LadySainsburySeal · 19/02/2018 22:05

I cut all sandwiches into triangles unless it's a bacon sarnie. That needs thick bread and rectangles. And a cup of builder's tea.

AdaColeman · 19/02/2018 22:08

I'm in the North, I'm for triangles!

Mamadothehump · 19/02/2018 22:10

You are, of course, correct!

WingsofNylon · 19/02/2018 22:10

Urgh. Whole sandwiches are the only acceptable ones. I hate places that cut them without asking first. When you cut them, you lose a little, you make them harder to eat and they look boring.

NellMangel · 19/02/2018 22:13

Triangles are fun. I have them when I'm treating myself.

Rectangles are the no nonsense "let's get on with food intake" choice.

Northernmum100 · 19/02/2018 22:24

My son told me it is a scientific fact that triangles are the right way....

Isadora2007 Yes dairylea sandwiches have to be folded.

I just remembered I made a mistake by cutting DD1 sandwiches into squares by mistake to stop the whining I then cut the squares into triangles so see had 8 little triangle sandwiches. I then had to do it every time she ate sandwiches.

OnlyGlowingSlightly · 19/02/2018 22:50

When DD was a picky 3 year old who I was desperate to get food into I asked her whether she wanted rectangles or triangles. She thought about it a minute then asked for 'one of each'

This spiralled out of control, and I ended up cutting her daily nursery sandwiches into 1 square, one rectangle, one triangle and one circle for about a year. I kid you not. All crustless of course. I actually found a way to cut all 4 shapes out of a round without wasting too much bread.

PFB and only child. I am suitably ashamed Blush

frasier · 20/02/2018 11:58

Onlyglowing We did the alphabet, numbers and insects as well as shapes. Blush

MorganKitten · 20/02/2018 12:44

As long as they taste good I don't care!

iklboo · 20/02/2018 13:38

@OnlyGlowingSlightly & @frasier - when DS was little we used to cut up his sandwiches using different shaped cookie cutters (animals, vehicles etc). Feat of engineering trying to ensure minimal wastage! Grin
