And why

I will start

Len Goodman partners in rhyme - how that show has plus 1 series is beyond me.

I'll come out in support of Red Dwarf (well, series 1 - 4 anyway, basically any episode with the Holly Hop Drive in it either Hattie Hayridge or Norman Lovett. Admittedly it did go downhill then seriously downhill as they obviously ran out of ideas) I also come out in support of Take me Out, Dating in the Dark, Two Broke Girls and Will & Grace both the original and current series. Big Bang Theory was good until they ran out of ideas and were getting desperate and it just became about individual characters.

The Undateables. Love it. It doesn't mock peoples disabilities and if it encourages other people with similar disadvantages to get on the dating scene then I say good.

(Bring back, 'Sexy Beasts' that what I say. Ordinary people wearing stage and special effects make up on their face only to look like a bumble bee or a space alien etc. When they have got to know each other the big reveal is to see them without all the make up on their face.)

However, you can keep the rest as I agree they were/are all awful.

Loose Women - does Colleen Nolan realise how awful and stupid she comes across ?

Peaky Blinders - nah, gimme the first two series of Ripper Street any day.

Miranda and Mrs Browns Boys. I was living overseas at the time and just grateful for t.v. in British/Irish accent. They were both 'suspend your disbelief' t.v. shows. Brendan O'Carroll is the real gobshite. He admitted it's meant to be easy/simple. He couldn't care less, he's laughing all the way to the bank and has lived in America for over twenty years.

ToEarlyForDecorations · 25/02/2018 05:32

Mrs Browns boys is pretty much the Dublin equivalent of the Royle family/Only Fools and Horses. But done as a sketch show.

AstridWhite · 25/02/2018 05:34

Naked attraction. I stumbled across it and it's the most excruciatingly awful thing I've ever seen. People deciding who to date based on different body parts. Wtf??

Me too. I only managed one episode and it made me feel deeply uncomfortable on so many levels I don't know where to start. Just urrrgghhh.

ToEarlyForDecorations · 25/02/2018 05:57

Yep, Naked Attraction should never have been made. I'm surprised that popular t.v. show host, Anna Richardson is it ? Was hosting it. I thought better of her than that. Oh well, we've all got bills to pay I suppose.

AstridWhite · 25/02/2018 06:00

I thought the same thing. Very disappointed in her for doing that.

FairfaxAikman · 25/02/2018 06:21

Thirteen - the concept could have been really good, but the execution was shite.

Palegreenstars · 25/02/2018 07:47

Saturday Night Take Away or Michael Macintyre’s Saturdsy night one. Basically any weekend / audience participation/ overly keen and enthusiastic shows.

MrsJayy · 25/02/2018 08:11

Naked attraction is repulsive and they put a woman as a presenter so it wouldn't appear creepy/pervy nah it is creepy and pervy

DoraMilaje · 25/02/2018 09:26

My sister forced me to watch an episode of Love Island once, I almost disowned her. It was awful.

Queer Eye on Netflix is pretty awful too.

Mrsknackered · 25/02/2018 09:28

@FairfaxAikman I agree! Thirteen was a massive letdown

Fintress · 25/02/2018 09:31

Dynasty reboot on Netflix. Bloody ridiculous.

allthegoodusernameshavegone · 25/02/2018 09:48

I agree with all the suggestions posted on here (although some I’ve never heard of) and will add everything shown on British tv on a Saturday night. Utter shite and always has been. I would put all in my room 101 including the show room 101 with frank skinner in first!

TheHungryDonkey · 25/02/2018 09:56

Why do the people on Most Haunted walk around with the camera pointed up their nose for an hour? That’s the worst programme I’ve ever seen.

BabloHoney · 25/02/2018 10:14

Channel 4 in the 90s had some of the worst tv ever. The Word, the Girlie Show, some dreadful game show hosted by Davina McCall, Stuart Hall and Jimmy Savile which rated sex appeal.. (I’m not making this up I promise)

I never understood Sex And the City either, mainly because Carrie was such a dreadful character. I remember one episode where she spent all her money on shoes, couldn’t afford to buy her flat, so had a huge hissy fit at one of her friends who wouldn’t give her the money. Excellent sisterhood there Hmm

Mc180768 · 25/02/2018 10:36

Benidorm
Loose Women
Kardashian stuff
Anything with 'Made In'

AlpacaPicnic · 25/02/2018 11:07

Anything where 'pranks' are played on unsuspecting passers by... The Beadle Oeuvre... see also Jackass, Dom Joly, Impractical jokers etc.
I just cringe for the people being made fun of, and how they have to be Jolly Good Sports about it all but really you can see they're either confused, or embarrassed by the whole thing.

Witchend · 25/02/2018 11:18

Anyone remember the children's programme "You should be so Lucky" with (if I remember rightly) Vince Purity.
DM couldn't stand it.

PrincessScarlett · 25/02/2018 11:22

Mrs Browns Boys. Everything else pales into insignificance compared to that utter rubbish.
