And why

I will start

Len Goodman partners in rhyme - how that show has plus 1 series is beyond me.

Any soap.

Pinkvoid · 17/02/2018 23:59

Friends isn’t remotely funny but I don’t mind having it on as background noise.

Frasier was pretty bad and will and grace too.

AgathaRaisinsCat · 18/02/2018 00:03

That god-awful wedding show on the BBC recently - where couples had to play daft games to win their 'dream' wedding.

Mrs Browns Boys.
Twin sodding Peaks.

JAMMFYesPlease · 18/02/2018 00:09

Any soap and any reality show. When you mix the two with the likes of Geordie Shore and TOWIE, it's a nightmare. How do any of them get views enough to get more than just the pilot?

HouseOfMouse · 18/02/2018 00:19

There used to be a terrible comedy on BBC3 called "Coming of age" - it was atrocious, terrible writing, charmless stage school cast oveacting all over the place, not a joke in sight.
Also, "The Wright Way" - an attempt by Ben Elton to do a "traditional" sitcom.
Also "Bancroft", a really terrible attempted Line of Duty rip-off which was shown recently. Every detective show cliche under the sun. Although I'm told it has been given a second series so what do I know. (See also "Marcella" - the trailers alone are doing my head in.)

DreamyMcDreamy Ignore rimmer, the smeg head

I've already come to regard them as people...... I've met lol Grin

FloydOnThePull · 18/02/2018 00:36

That food programme on channel 4 with the irritating blonde woman who looks like she cuts her own hair with a lawn mower, where they claim to expose the truth about some product or other and are 'shocked' to find out that pigs don't skip in to factories to donate only the finest prime cuts of themselves to the production of sausages.

And Miranda. How people can be entertained by a woman falling off a chair episode after episode is beyond me.

OuchLegoHurts · 18/02/2018 00:40

Designated Survivor, Mrs Browns Boys

gillybeanz · 18/02/2018 00:48

reality TV - all of it, without exception.
Ok then maybe the very first Big Brother/none celebrity

HildaZelda · 18/02/2018 00:54

@Pinkvoid, Frasier was fantastic! Shock The only American comedy that was actually funny

Cranberrywensleydale · 18/02/2018 00:54

I can't remember what is was called, but there was a reaaaaaly crap programme on not too long ago about the young Hyacinth Bucket. Wow it was bad! (I liked the keeping up appearances series though!)

HangingRoundInABofAlorsStance · 18/02/2018 01:05

Back in the day, probably stuff like Eldorado, later Denise Van Outen's Something for the weekend. Chris Tarrant's Man O Man springs to mind, it was the 90s equivalent of Take me out with added swimming trunks.
Webb's Web I had to double check was not a spoof - I can only conclude
Robert Webb really, really, really needed the money. Funnily enough, he did not respond to that on his mn webchat.

DailyMailcanfuckthefuckoff · 18/02/2018 01:06

The Big Bang Theory.

I hate it with every fibre of my being. Inane, awful, shite.

southboundagain · 18/02/2018 01:12

"Chris Tarrant's Man O Man springs to mind"

I remember very little about Man O Man in general apart from the theme tune and this one guy who could roll his abs like a belly dancer. I did nooot remember that it was Chris Tarrant.

As a side note, until about 2002, my school used to let students produce a Man O Man event (with contestants from the nearby boys' school) for year 10+ students, as part of their charity fundraising week each year. I can't even begin to imagine that happening now.

ScreamingValenta · 18/02/2018 01:13

Loose Women. My MIL is a fan - MIL is absolutely brilliant and I would do anything not to hurt her feelings, hence I have sat through 'Loose Women' several times with her in an uncomplaining way - but it truly is dreadful and annoying. I hate the cackling they do when some 'hunk' comes on the show, and the ghastly faux assumption - awful, awful Angry.

NeepNeepNeep · 18/02/2018 01:16

Scandal. I don't know where to begin. Tripe. Terrible acting.

NeepNeepNeep · 18/02/2018 01:17

I remember Man O ManGrin

ScreamingValenta · 18/02/2018 01:32

NeepNeepNeep Your username is brilliant!

dingdongdigeridoo · 18/02/2018 01:34

Cheap cheap cheap with Noel Edmonds. Just utterly surreal. Worth looking up on YouTube if you like crap telly.

Miranda too. How can anyone stand her voice for a second?

MexicanBob · 18/02/2018 02:08

Casualty. Total melodrama. Can't abide it. Stopped watching 1/2 way through season one. Never seen Holby City.

expertonnothing · 18/02/2018 04:33

Mrs Brown's Boys
Storage Hunters (raking through other people's shite Confused)

CigarsofthePharoahs · 18/02/2018 04:47

A BBC series I found on Netflix called Rome.
Crap plot, crap acting and basically just an excuse for soft porn.

MissionItsPossible · 18/02/2018 05:04

Hoarders

Risen · 18/02/2018 05:54

Any soap. I have never watched Coronation Street or Emmerdale Farm. I used to watch EastEnders, years ago, but it made me feel really low. Any reality programme with, or without, flesh on show.

** However,
I love Miranda and Mrs Brown's Boys..have both on DVD Hmm It's the ridiculousness that I love Grin
