This sounds brilliant. I love the idea they are going to speak to so many people and young people and it will be interesting to see what comes out of it.
Here's what they are doing:
"We are meeting 10,000 children and young people aged between 5 and 22 across the UK from Inverness to Pembrokeshire; from Cornwall to Norfolk. To hear their ideas about pornography, love and connection.
We are working with 100's of theatres and schools across the UK and with Barnardo's.
This is the largest piece of research ever done on this subject. And it will mean that we working with completely up-to-date ideas which have come from children themselves.
We are making a piece of theatre based on these conversations. WHY IS THE SKY BLUE? will be performed by children and young people. And it will feature the words of children across the country set to music by Matt Regan. The piece is being made by Abbey Wright and Shireen Mula.
In addition we will launch a digital platform to display our research, a nationwide education project for parents, teachers and children in collaboration with Barnardo's, and a touring version of WHY IS THE SKY BLUE?
We want to change the national conversation."
