And why
I have two
Wimbledon - so bad my maths teacher turned it off after 5 minutes
Angus thongs and perfect snogging - just girls chasing boys - worst plot line ever

The Tribe, a film entirely in Ukranian sign language.

Won lots of awards. Biggest load of horse manure I’ve ever seen.

SPOILER: Things got lively when lead character blugeons six ppl to death with a bedside table in the penultimate moments of the film. A pity he didn’t do it at the start and saved me a tortureous three hours.

Goth237 · 21/08/2018 22:28

Cannibal Holocaust. It was awful. And it's been banned. It showed several (what I was unaware of at the time) real animal killings. I couldn't watch. It was so disturbing and horrific Sad. Those poor creatures.

Willow2017 · 21/08/2018 23:48

Cloverfields
I was waiting for it to get good or scary once they were out the tunnel and could see the aliens...then it just ended! What a complete waste of time.

(10 Cloverfields Lane is the total opposite in every way)

daughterofanarchy · 21/08/2018 23:53

The Revenant- it just didn’t go anywhere so we left the cinema halfway through it.

frustratedashell · 21/08/2018 23:58

I didn't actually watch it all, was just shown a 5 minute clip of it. The Human Centipede. God it was vile. I couldn't understand how anyone could actually come up with the idea, let alone make a film about it.
Was totally sick! I said turn it off and wouldn't watch anymore.

FlapAttack23 · 22/08/2018 00:02

Vanilla sky
Solaris

Wtf

goingonabearhunt1 · 22/08/2018 14:19

I agree with Vanilla Sky, Solaris, Eyes Wide Shut and Lost in Translation as many pp have mentioned. All boring and pointless.

I think a lot of films are far too long these days, they seem to have forgotten about editing. Longer doesn't mean better Grin

Watched This is 40 on Netflix last night and that went on forever as well. Rich people complaining about nothing.

runningkeenster · 22/08/2018 14:44

Natural Born Killers. What a waste of time and money that was. Pointless violence.

Funkyslippers · 22/08/2018 18:41

My worst: Love Actually, Notting Hill, Vanilla Sky, Blair Witch Project
DD's worst: Thelma & Louise - how very dare she!!

Aintnothingbutaheartache · 22/08/2018 18:45

Mullholand Drive wtf 😳

justinhawkinsnavalfluff · 26/08/2018 02:22

Just watched it. Red sparrow. Fell asleep..
Twice. Yawnfest

mayandjuniper · 26/08/2018 02:30

The Keith Lemon Movie has to be the absolute worst I've seen.

AllesAusLiebe · 26/08/2018 03:49

Another vote for Sex and the City 2. Terrible, soulless garbage.

Unfinishedkitchen · 26/08/2018 06:21

Magic Mike. There was no plot.

Birdman. Again no plot, just rambling rubbish. I think the makers thought they were making some high brow art piece (for Hollywood) but it was just so awful.

Unfinishedkitchen · 26/08/2018 06:23

Every one of those romcoms made by the guy that made Notting Hill (apart from Four Weddings). I hate the hype that always surrounds their release too like he’s the only person to have ever made British movies.

Moody123 · 26/08/2018 06:29

Donny Darko !
It was so weird all the way through and then all joined up in the last 5 mins ... but that rabbit was creepy AF!

twattymctwatterson · 26/08/2018 23:02

The Happening. In fact almost everything by M Night Shamylan. It's like he just ran out of story towards the end. Fucking awful.

So glad that people have said Lost in Translation. Watched it after all the hype and the Oscar and was concerned I'm just not clever or sophisticated enough to "get it". Found it to be utterly dull

twattymctwatterson · 26/08/2018 23:04

@Unfinishedkitchen the plot of Magic Mike is limited to Channing Tatum getting half naked and dancing. What's not to like? Grin

twattymctwatterson · 26/08/2018 23:15

Also I recently watched a western with Kurt Russell called Bone Tomahawk. Thought it looked a bit like The Searchers. It's not. Don't do it to yourself

MoHunter · 26/08/2018 23:28

“Boyhood” - had high hopes but NOTHING FUCKING HAPPENS through the entire nearly 3 hour film. I kept waiting for a twist or some kind of plot to develop. Honestly, awful. According to all critics though it’s brilliant and I must be thick not to have enjoyed it. Hmm

CigarsofthePharoahs · 26/08/2018 23:39

Birdemic.
That's got to be the winner here. Lots of talk about stock options and solar panels and very little actual birds which is good as when they do show up they're terrible.
The male lead walks around like he's clenching a pea between his butt cheeks and is terrified of dropping it.
It's so bad it's... bad.

Jojoanna · 26/08/2018 23:39

Cold mountain , cake, melancholia

workshyfop · 26/08/2018 23:43

Daredevil
Fantastic Beasts and where to find them
Mamma Mia
Time Bandits

DolorestheNewt · 26/08/2018 23:43

That thing with Woody Harrelson, Demi Moore, and Robert Redford. Indecent Proposal? She sleeps with RR for a million dollars. AWFUL.

MauraIsles · 26/08/2018 23:46

Any of the fifty shades films, take your pick which is the worst out of the bunch - I did a lot of eye rolling during those movies, the dialogue is so fucking cheesy and cliché laden.
