I think I might just lie on the sofa...

Cry into my pillow.

Turns out, past the first 6 hours of pure bliss unless I’ve got plans for every minute of the time alone then I get bored and bored means a horrible weird depression which I never have otherwise.

I get this once a year at least when DH goes on a hiking / running event holiday and I love it.

I usually spend the first few hours tidying and cleaning so everything is all sparkly and neat. Then watch things I like (Greys Anatomy, Criminal Minds and Harry Potter) while crocheting, go on relaxed walks with the dogs, sometimes I invite my nephew (he's 6) to visit so we play games and walk the dogs together or I have a friend to visit / meet up with, I do some crafts or writing, and I read a little.

The whole house is calm when I'm on my own. If I'm not watching tv then it's switched off (DH uses it for background noise). I sometimes just have the radio on. When he was away in November I had a Christmas radio station on constantly.

I also treat myself food wise - usually to a mini cheese board, crackers and chutney as DH isn't a fan Smile

I do love DH honestly, but sometimes I wish I could kick him out for a few days Grin

I'd sleep in both days, then spend the rest of the time having a bloody good sort and charity shop/dump runs.
Also whatever I wanted for tea and some reading in the evening. mostly enjoying the quiet. No music no tv.

I'd have a long lie in
Go to the gym and workout ( in usually too exhausted now and used to love working out pre dc3) without having to rush and with some actual energy as I've had some sleep in the morning
Then I'd come back and have a long shower
Shopping spree as I haven't been shopping without small people attached to me in years
Stop for a coffee after shopping
Or heck even a meal out
Come home to an evening of unlimited snacks and Netflix

I'm stunned that I'm the first person on this thread who'd have a wank, given a chunk of 'me time'.

Wank, sleep, read, repeat. Bliss.

Next weekend I have 3 and a bit days. I'll go to the gym at least twice, maybe three times. I'll sit in bed drinking coffee and reading. I'll go for some long walks if it isn't raining and I'm meeting a friend for a long walk and a long Sunday lunch.

And then I'll do the week's cooking, washing and ironing. And be so pleased to have DH and DD back again on Monday night.

Bugger all! Dare to dream.... I'd lie in all morning, watch tv, iPad, eat ping ping meals, drive with loud music, do beauty treatments in myself.... very dull but this is what I don't get to do anymore. I remember one lovely day whilst on mat leave whilst I was impatiently awaiting the baby (ha!) I took myself out to wagamamas for lunch all by myself. Now it's a good day if I go to the loo by myself!

-Long walks, bringing the camera with me
-Visit shops and at the farmers market
-Go to the gym for like 2 hours as nobody requires me to be anywhere or do anything for them
-Eat lots of the smelly food DH complains about: crab, mackerel, muscles, very smelly cheese etc. Oh, and lots of garlic as nobody will be there to care if my breath stinks.
-Get the house looking beautiful and just sit and admire it whilst reading a book

That's me this weekend! I have to do a Samaritans shift tonight, but from tomorrow morning my time is mine, all mine. I haven't seen The Crown yet, so watching series 1 of that is on the list. I've had things DH doesn't like for dinner, and I'm planning on going to the cinema tomorrow to see a film he wouldn't want to see. Then I'm going to have a massage, do a bit of yoga, and get a really early night to make up for tonight's night shift.

Well the first day would go by cleaning the mess left behind by the other occupants 😒. Second day I’d definitely just sleep, stay in my bed clothes and watch Netflix. I wouldn’t even cook, probably eat cereal all weekend.

Lots of exercise.
Lots of wanking.
Lots of reading.
