I think I might just lie on the sofa...

I go walking for 2 days by myself every year. So long walk, supper, collapse into bed at the youth hostel, read until I'm asleep and repeat.

FluffyWuffy100 · 09/02/2018 17:04

You mean the weekend? Same as I always do!

Bluelady · 09/02/2018 17:06

Find a spa hotel near NT properties and nice gardens. Eat nice food, a couple of walks, a massage, read a lot, swim.

TheSnowFairy · 09/02/2018 17:09

Read. Enjoy the silence. Sort out some bits round the house.

Op, do you have this or is it a fantasy?!

Gazelda · 09/02/2018 17:09

Go to the bakers and M&S to stock up. Then go home to binge Judge Judy and sleep.

Girlsworld92 · 09/02/2018 17:11

Sleep, eat, drink (alcohol 😀), watch tv, read and talk to nobody at all. Sounds blissful

Need2morehands · 09/02/2018 17:25

I'm hoping for this soon as Iv just booked my oh a night in a nice hotel by himself away from kids me work and renovations as a birthday treat. I never usually buy to receive but on this occasion I definitely did!Grin

Bobbybobbins · 09/02/2018 17:40

I have 3 (!) days to myself in the next two weeks as have half term and the kids are staying in nursery for a change, doing a short day.

I am going to read, clean, swim, lunch with friends, eBay stuff we need to clear out, mark essays, watch crap TV

stardust18 · 09/02/2018 18:56

Sleep 💤

JoeyMaynardssolidlump · 09/02/2018 18:59

Can tell posters with littlies as sleep heavily featured.

I would go to the sea side and just walk, read, eat and drink alcohol and talk to absolutkry nobody except my dog.

Lloyd45 · 09/02/2018 19:47

Go for a nice long hack on my horse, walk the dogs, in the evening go to a show in London and then dinner. A long lie in the next day, walk the dogs to a country pub and then have Sunday lunch

Trashboat · 09/02/2018 19:54

I would take a trip to lidl. Buy a fig and walnut loaf, real butter, some crappy maize snacks, copious amounts of wine. Oh and also some brunch goodies.

Then I would go home and have a quick tidy round so I didn't have to do anything for the next 2 days.

I would then go and get in my comfiest pyjamas, get a blanket, get on the couch and watch trash tv, only moving to eat and drink.

.....not that I've thought about it of course 😂

Abracadabraapileofbollocks · 09/02/2018 19:59

I had 5 hours to myself at the weekend so J did the cinema. M&S to get a lazy meal. Napped woke up did lazy meal. It would probably be an expansion on that with a swim and hot tub and some reading in there.

Urubu · 09/02/2018 20:04

1 tidying up project like re-organize the content of the kitchen cabinets or sort out my clothes for ex.
1 activity like visit a museum or go to the movies.
1 or 2 meet up with friends.
The rest of the time watch tv, mumsnet etc and sleep Grin

secretselkie · 09/02/2018 20:19

Doing that right now - DH, DC’s & dogs left a few hours ago to go visit DGP’s & I decided to stay behind to get some much needed peace & quiet

My plans consist of watching a lot of movies DH wouldn’t like, going for a swim & having a long bath in peace & finishing reading a couple of books...

Tidy2018 · 09/02/2018 20:33

Well, starting tomorrow morning I have 36 hours to myself. Ideally, I'd get out the sewing machine and fix the curtain hems and tapes, then rehang them. Then I'd prune some bushes in the garden so that I don't get smacked in the face by stray lants each time I go through the garden to the garage. Maybe I'd have time to tidy the garage and van.

What I'll probably do is wash all items of school uniform and possibly schoolbags, make loads of to-do lists, give up then watch tv, Netflix, etc, eat curry. Then on Sunday afternoon frantically wash all dishes and hoover with an LED torch to find teeny bits pf Lego.

What I'd really want to do is get a small motorhome and disappear for two days without having to tell anyone where or make complicated childcare arrangements.

PencilsInSpace · 09/02/2018 20:37

I'd make a massive ambitious list of stuff I'd been putting off for ages then spend the whole 2 days MNing and watching cats fall off things on youtube.

GimbleInTheWabe · 09/02/2018 20:45

Hour 1- pour a glass of wine and drink it in the bath (with bath oils) listening to a podcast.
Hour 2-3- moisturise everywhere. Put hair oil on my split ends. Hairdry my hair. Straighten it. Apply make up and chose a nice outfit.
Hour 4-8- go in to central (listening to music and podcasts on my headphones) and go shopping and for sushi all by myself.
Hour 9-11- come home and watch a movie
Hour 11-21- SLEEPSLEEPSLEEPSLEEPSLEEP and wake up naturally feeling amazing
Hour 22-27 go for brunch with friends
Hour 28-30 go for a hair cut and get my nails done
Hour 31-33 repeat bath, moisturise routin and put on a lovely dress I'm also now magically a size 8
Hour 34-39 go for drinks and a meal with DP and come home for alone time
Hour 40-48- sleep sleep sleep sleep sleep and wake up from the magical dream ha

--Can you tell that my baby is 4 Months Old and I've not slept for a long long time?

Thanks for helping me daydream. That sounds fucking incredible.

Sleep, sofa, pjs. Either at home or a hotel. Maybe a hotel so nobody could find me!!!

battenbergbutterfly · 09/02/2018 20:50

Crochet, watch Netflix, walk the dog, read and drink shit loads of coffee

4yearsnosleep · 09/02/2018 20:51

Sleep. (Providing I was guaranteed 48 hours of sleep), if not I'd decorate a room in the house.....

wasMissD · 09/02/2018 20:54

Big fat lie in, then go to a spa and take a book, and use their nap room for a further snooze. Nice full body massage. Three course dinner and sleep over at said spa. Return home next afternoon after a walk in the Peaks, sit down with a pizza and a glass of red, read my book and watch a film.
Can I do this now please?

WingsofNylon · 09/02/2018 20:55

I'm just heading into a weekend to myself. I'm currently in the bath. after i will full body moisturize and I'll get I to bed with a cup of tea and my book.

Tomorrow I am going to take my new camera and walk around the town testing it out. Probably stop at a cafe for lunch.

Then home to get stuff together to visit a friend. We are ordering pizza and drinking yummy drinks. Sunday morning I will cuddle my God daughter over breakfast then spend the rest of the day organising long forgotten photos. Bliss. Most of my weekends are fucking brilliant.

mercurymaze · 09/02/2018 20:57
