I think I might just lie on the sofa...

Sleep

Eat peanuts - DD is allergic to them so we don't have them in the house.

stevie69 · 09/02/2018 14:29

I do. It's called the weekend, so I'm keeping an eye on this thread for ideas Grin

Eolian · 09/02/2018 14:31

Not sleep. I mean obviously I'd still sleep, but probably less rather than more than usual.
I'd have a long bath, read, knit, go and have a wander round the shops and have afternoon tea in a lovely café. Watch a film at home in the evening with a pint of my favourite real ale.

WaitroseCoffeeCostaCup · 09/02/2018 14:32

Read read read!

GerdaLovesLili · 09/02/2018 14:33

I would finally clear the bloody attic out. Which I can't with anyone else in the house because of all the dust and potential asthma attacks. It's been two years, and now we're moving and I still haven't bloody done it. Then I'd need another two days off to sleep.

translationAndRotation · 09/02/2018 14:36

Mountainbike on the first day. End up in the pub.

Lie in on the second day. Motorbike ride to the moors. Stop at a Greggs for lunch.

Get home, raid DH's humidor and smoke in the garden next to a roaring firepit with a bottle or two of Malbec and my Kindle. Order a pizza for dinner.

tomhazard · 09/02/2018 14:38

On the first day id read a book cover to cover on the sofa with excellent snacks available.
On day 2 I'd go and have my nails and hair done somewhere then watch Netflix

munqch · 09/02/2018 14:40

I would sleep in then have a long shower. After a leisurely brunch at home I would curl up on the sofa and watch films or read, enjoying the peace and quiet. I would have many cups of tea, which I would be able to drink while still hot. Later I might go out shopping or to the cinema. I would check into a hotel, order room service, have a long luxurious bath with a glass or two of fizz and read... then I would sleep. So much sleep. More of the same the next day.

BumpowderSneezeonAndSnot · 09/02/2018 14:42

I tend to sleep and loaf around

Norugratsatall · 09/02/2018 14:42

Reading, adult colouring, gardening, sewing, de-cluttering, browsing internet, napping......

BadLad · 09/02/2018 14:58

This kind of thread makes me so glad I don't have kids.

Monkeybunkey · 09/02/2018 15:15

I have a very rare weekend off this weekend. I intend to have a lie-in both days, watch football, drink beer, have a takeaway and maybe watch a few dvds, do a bit of gardening and take the dog out for some long walks in daylight (a novelty when you work full-time during the week!).

BiddyPop · 09/02/2018 15:22

Long lie in.
Looong hot shower, getting thoroughly clean, doing a conditioning treatment on hair, followed by actually using body lotion, drying hair properly etc.
Go out for good long walk.
Buy nice food in deli for later, including some kind of nice (but slightly healthy) bun or cake
Do some knitting, sewing or other crafting
Have a nice dinner watching rubbish tv or a decent Netflix movie
Long hot bath to relieve sore muscles
Sleep

Go into town for nice coffee and breakfast
Massage
Go to art gallery or movie or theatre event
Have a glass of nice wine before coming home (whether before or after said cultural event)
Another nice dinner
Sleep some more....

OK - reality is I'd probably do loads of housework and maintenance jobs, empty freezer, do a batch cooking to refill it, do a big grocery shop, sort laundry mini-mountain, clear out cupboards...all those kinds of jobs.

I have gone to a hotel once for a solo overnight and it was bliss.

And once a year (most years), I manage to get to see a play alone. But that's about it on culture stuff....
Sleep more

NeedMoreSleepOrSugar · 09/02/2018 15:29

Having a (thankfully temporarily) very ill dh and two non sleeping dc, at the moment I'd love to just sleep, although in reality is probably end up tackling lots of jobs around the house!

toomuchlikehardwork · 09/02/2018 15:31

I'm not sure as this often happens as hubby works weekends sometimes. I quite enjoy a weekend where I get home at 5.30pm on Friday and don't leave the house or get properly dressed until 8am Monday.
No kids so our time is our own. I'll be doing exactly that this weekend. I want to clear the washing basket but that takes so little effort as I won't be ironing this weekend. Plan to finish my current book, have a pamper, paint my nails, Watch season two of the crown and update my blog and start writing again.

Argeles · 09/02/2018 15:35

If we had two days, and money was no issue, I’d do everything below:

Lots of sleep.

A bath with my ‘best’ toiletries, candles, champagne truffles and a bottle of fizzy rosé (champagne, prosecco, cava etc - whichever, I’m not too fussy).

A face mask.

Go to a steam room.

Apply nail varnish.

Have a Chinese takeaway one night, a pizza the other.

Eat lunch at my favourite Japanese restaurant.

Get a cut and blow dry.

Swedish massage.

Indian head massage.

Catch up on Eastenders.

Eat lots of crisps and drink lots of coke.

Go to Ladurée Café in Harrods and eat an Ispahan with a pot of Ceylon tea, and order a box of rose flavoured macaron to take home.

NellMangel · 09/02/2018 15:47

I'd have a busy day one, browsing shops and maybe buying stuff for home spa session. Come home, eat whatever I fancied, put on "leisurewear" watch box set. Day two possibly Sunday papers or magazine, slow cooker on, chill.

I'm pretty boring.

Microwaved111 · 09/02/2018 15:55

Have a lie in, have a long hot bath, go into town for a leisurely look round the shops, sit in a coffee shop, read my book...the list goes on and on.

I can't remember the last time I had two hours let alone two days

Kintan · 09/02/2018 16:12

Sleep, go swimming or to a yoga class, see an exhibition or two, read, sleep some more :)

user1494409994 · 09/02/2018 16:21

Probably decorate the kids room.

Hedgehog80 · 09/02/2018 16:21

I’d book a cleaner so I wouldnt have to do any tidying or cleaning
Lie in
Nice breakfast
Watch tv/read
Organise paperwork
Print out photos and do my photo albums
Go to have a massage and reflexology

AnarchyKitty · 09/02/2018 16:23

I'd go home for a fleeting visit and see my mum and friends.

ethelfleda · 09/02/2018 16:53

Sleep, eat and watch Harry Potter.

sinceyouask · 09/02/2018 16:57

Sleep and read and sleep and read and sleep and read.

Mailawaymailawaymailaway · 09/02/2018 16:58

Sleep.

Wow, it seems to be a really popular answer!
