What to say to lying dog walker?

Sent home sick from work yesterday, still off sick today. DH messaged walker at 9am to say dog was fine (she had been ill last week)
Dog walker messaged back saying Perfect I'll be to take her out.
Comes to 12pm no walker, DH messaged again to say where are you?
She messaged back saying she'd been and gone from 8:45-9:45 and would be back at 2pm.
DH said that's not true and that I was at home.
Walker messaged back assuring him she'd been.
DH said he would be coming home to walk her as I was too sick to and not to bother coming back in the afternoon.
She maintains she had walked her.
SHE DIDN'T I WAS AT HOME WITH HER!
Anyway the trust is gone, Therefor she is going. How do I word this?
I know she's lied and doesn't obviously give a shit but I would like to hold my head up high walking past her knowing I was right and handled it correctly without flying off the handle.
Please wise women if mumsnet help me with wording a message.

It's a small town I live in and will see her at the vets so want to walk in with my head held high. However for her it will always be awkward. She's lied, stolen (by not returning my keys) and neglected my dogs needs which I hired her to do.
The locks are changed, my dogs are delighted that I come home and we've started taking my girl to local arranged walks so she's still getting socialised at weekends.
I'm vocal about what happened but not willing to name and shame as I genuinely think this was the first time it happened and I think it'll have scared her enough to never try this stunt again with anyone else.
A friend did point out to me that I may receive a bill for the "walk" in question and she's holding the keys back to post at the same time as the bill which would be over the next few days.
If that's the case then I will have no choice but to contact the police for the theft and also inform them of the fact she's trying to charge me for a service I didn't receive.

It's a civil matter and not something the police would become involved in. No disrespect but I think they have more important things to do.

As for it being a small town and you seeing her at the vets, YOU have nothing to be ashamed about. SHE is the one who should be embarrassed about her reputation.

We caught our dog walker lying, suspected for a while but started coming home to doggy accidents so decided to review the CCTV. She use to write in a book (at my request) the time she came and where they went. This day she said she had been somewhere for over an hour, CCTV showed she didn’t leave the house and was there 10 mins, same for other days. I messaged her and asked if I could collect keys as I needed them for a friend and went straight round to pick them up and ask for her response, she didn’t have a lot to say!! She still regularly advertises on Facebook and I’d love to post something but it’s just not worth it. My advise to everyone is check every now and then, use insured walkers who have experience! We have a great one now but it takes huge trust to give someone a key to your house so you have to trust them.

@MichaelBendfaster, yes I haven't done anything wrong at all and I'm keeping it that way.
I know she's a liar, she knows she's a liar, the vet knows she's a liar & every dog owner I've met since knows she's a liar and I'm pretty sure they will also have told other people.
That's exactly the people that need to know local dog owners. I don't need to plaster it over fb for them to know.

Really disappointing to read so many stories where people have caught the Dog Walker defrauding then and failed to make sure others know about it. How sad.

Are people worried about slander?! Slander is only if it's fabricated with no evidence. Those with cctv in particular should be posting footage on you tube and posting the link to their local fb groups.

While the dog walker was in your house for ten mins, how many people had their dogs crammed in her car/van ? How many homes was she going to like this? Earning at least £10 from each dog?

I saw a walker today letting 8 dogs run riot out of the boot of her Qashqai for 20 mins before squeezing them all back in. Not bad for £80 eh.

The industry is full of cowboys and people who do nothing to warn other owners are just as bad imo.

Not at all surprised to hear so many accounts of fraudulent dog walkers, most of these people are only claiming to be self employed dog walkers in order to get on the tax credits bandwagon, they've got no desire whatsoever to actually run a successful and reputable business.

I have thought many times about posting a review, yes worried about slander but I have no reason to as have the videos. I posted something recently on a Facebook post where someone was seeking recommendations, this one and another before who also let me down because she was too nervous with my dog, both posted. I did post a general comment that both would have known it is aimed at them and they have not posted again since. Next time i’ll Be brave!

When I say she was nervous, I meant more inexperienced with dogs as mine is as soppy as anything, he just needs an experienced walker to keep an eye on him rather than staring at their phones!

Not seen her at all and still no return of keys (locks are changed though)
Have been to the vets a few times but she's not been working.
All still going well with me walking DDog at lunchtime and meeting friends with dogs on my days off and weekends.
