Bengal has scratched DD friend

Long story short my DS had a few friends over at weekend and one of them pulled my 1 year old Bengal's tail and she too took a little swipe at them. I had to pretend I was less annoyed than I was (as you always do with kids that aren't yours) but just checked they weren't hurt and thought nothing more of it. Today I have had said parents very annoyed on the phone demanding this was unacceptable and they wanted to report it, I was clearly very annoyed aswell and it got a bit heated from there.

I don't think I am but AIBU ? All the kids were clearly told to leave Annie (Bengal) alone and I didn't overreact when they didn't. Can't help that feel this is generation snowflake when things like this happen no injuries occured.

Oh ffs so many errors. My autocorrect has a vendetta tonight!!!

gingergenius · 08/02/2018 22:20

*I'd feel the same if some randomer pulled my hair, grabbed my boob or smacked my arse. Seriously NO sympathy for a person (child or not) who doesn't heed warnings.

Perhaps they should read more ROALD Dahl books???

Also had a dog who had sensitive hind legs and a stupid kid on my street TEASED and pulled her tail until she rounded on him a drew blood,

I may change my pro-cat stance following an unprovoked attack early this morning in which dcat was trying to get me up by pawing at the duvet and then suddenly clawed at my face drawing blood and leaving me with what looks like an emerging black eye...
glares accusingly at offending animal who now faces being sent to pussy cat boot camp

ChardonnaysPrettySister · 09/02/2018 13:44

I’d be worried if they were viscous, Sporty.

Stop posting such beautiful pictures!

I so want a cat, but it's not really practical.

But threads like this make me crave and covet one. Grin

😂😂.. stupid autocorrect !

sportyfool · 09/02/2018 14:54

Mine love water , they sit in my sinks and when someone goes to the loo they know it will be followed by hand washing .. so clever !!

SirGawain · 09/02/2018 19:04

A cat in a health centre? How terribly inappropriate. I would avoid the place like the plague.
You are far more likely to catch something infectious from another patient than from the cat.

One morning this week I was awoken by the sound of one of mine hurling up her breakfast (having got up before dawn to give them their breakfast and then gone back to bed myself). Then that evening the other one brought in a dead mouse and ate it front of me. I love them, but they are bastards.

They are insane!!

Cats scratch???

Pleasebeafleabite · 09/02/2018 21:37

This morning mine was sick in my flip flop only for me to put my foot in it in the dark

Not a bengal though. Common or garden tortoiseshell

I am slowly being converted by all the delicious cat pics though

DSHathawayGivesMeFannyGallops · 09/02/2018 22:30

@Pleasebeafleabite we always had mogs before this one, got her as a private rescue/mum rehomed her through friends and I am a complete convert to the breed! They will win you over. Ours is the most loving cat I've ever owned.

sportyfool · 09/02/2018 22:31

Mine are very entertaining.. currently in my waste bin getting stuff out and dragging it around the bedroom.. they are very dog like !!

DorisDangleberry · 09/02/2018 22:36

My cat is half Bengal.

He will scratch you if you tickle his tummy.
He will scratch you if he wants to be fed.
He will scratch you if you don’t stroke his chin.
He will scratch you if you attempt to take a half dead mice off him
He will scratch you if he is bored
He will scratch you if it is the morning.
In summary, he’s a bastard.

Pleasebeafleabite · 09/02/2018 23:59

DShathacat is definitely a beauty
