Devin Nunes Gets A Pretty Basic Fact Wrong In Defending His Memo
Nunes suggested that Donald Trump had never met with George Papadopoulos. There's a photo of them sitting at the same table.

And we certainly didn't have a national security meeting right here:

Interesting piece.

On the counting of school shootings- wow Lion, that’s an illuminating article... so, the NRA pressured congress into prohibiting the CDCp from researching and analysing risk factors for mass shootings way back in the 1990’s.
It’s incredibly shocking that the NRA was able to exert that kind of control. Not only against any kind of gun control, but also against trying to understand how and why these incidents happen.

cozietoesie · 16/02/2018 16:32

That would be STBX Secretary Shulkin? Wink

Mr Kimmel talks about the shooting.

This is my wonderful friend, talking so much sense. I need to catch up as a few pages behind but I can't see anything on the BBC about the press conference mentioned in this clip.. can't wait for that as am sure Scrotus will be dignified and empathetic Hmm

I have heard such powerful words from those who have been devastated by gun violence. Sad

As far as Nunes can tell, none of us have even met with Trump

'The director of the EPA’s Office of Criminal Enforcement, Henry Barnet, told Politico that Pruitt was “approached in the airport numerous times” and had profanities “yelled at him” during his travels.

Barnet told the publication that one specific incident saw a person approach Pruitt and shout “Scott Pruitt, you’re f---ing up the environment” while recording it on a cellphone.'

www.fbi.gov/news/pressrel/press-releases/fbi-statement-on-the-shooting-in-parkland-florida

On January 5, 2018, a person close to Nikolas Cruz contacted the FBI’s Public Access Line (PAL) tipline to report concerns about him. The caller provided information about Cruz’s gun ownership, desire to kill people, erratic behavior, and disturbing social media posts, as well as the potential of him conducting a school shooting.

Under established protocols, the information provided by the caller should have been assessed as a potential threat to life. The information then should have been forwarded to the FBI Miami Field Office, where appropriate investigative steps would have been taken.

We have determined that these protocols were not followed for the information received by the PAL on January 5. The information was not provided to the Miami Field Office, and no further investigation was conducted at that time.

FBI Director Christopher Wray said:

“We are still investigating the facts. I am committed to getting to the bottom of what happened in this particular matter, as well as reviewing our processes for responding to information that we receive from the public. It’s up to all Americans to be vigilant, and when members of the public contact us with concerns, we must act properly and quickly.

“We have spoken with victims and families, and deeply regret the additional pain this causes all those affected by this horrific tragedy. All of the men and women of the FBI are dedicated to keeping the American people safe, and are relentlessly committed to improving all that we do and how we do it.”

Mueller indictment of Russians starts to fill out the other side. Next: who are the actors in this country. The contours of the conspiracy are starting to be detailed. This is hugely significant.

The Mueller indictment says that Russian "defendants and their co-conspirators" paid "US persons" to participate in rallies supporting Donald Trump. One American was even paid by the Russians to dress up as Hillary Clinton in a prison uniform.

TheNorthWestPawsage · 16/02/2018 18:37

RR says no evidence of American persons involved...

TheNorthWestPawsage · 16/02/2018 18:39

Correction - no Americans had knowledge - they were duped...

lionheart · 16/02/2018 18:47

Course they were. Smile
