To get annoyed with people ignoring 4 signs and coming into my office!

Just that really. They go past 1 sign saying deliveries through right hand door, into a reception with has a sign and bell which says 'All visitors ring bell for assistance' through a door which says 'Staff only' up the stairs and come into and office with 'PRIVATE' on the door. Can I tell them to Fluff off downstairs!! Then they wonder why I am pissed off and not accommodating to their queries.
I will point out this isn't directed at staff but at randoms - especially sales people and delivery people!

Make a bigger sign maybe?

Switch to 'no unauthorised personnel.' then 'DANGER' then 'Caution, Zombies'.

Get a lock to the door to prevent access to certain areas. You need a physical barrier rather than polite signs if it is a problem.

I thought about a lock, would cause a problem for me bringing a cup of tea upstairs though ... I can manage the tea and unlock it but if I am carrying cake too I am going to get soggy cake knowing my luck! But seriously it would be a pain, although have considered it.

My office is a bit out of the way now but when I had an office near the top of the stairs, people would walk past 4 doors with male names and knock on my door to take a delivery or ask for information.

Get a tray. Tea + cake + lock.

I love that cake is the underlying reason

People are wankers. Don't lock the door when you are off getting cake. Just get a bolt and lock it when you are inside.

Put staff on reception.

It sounds likely to me that nobody is responding when visitors do try to follow instructions.

Could it be that delivery people are ringing and ringing and then get fed up at no answer so they have to act on initiative and go looking?

Replace the sign that says Private with one that says FOAD.

Worked for me, no one ever comes in my office anymore or bothers me at lunch and they all kinda skirt around me in the hallway too. 🤗

They don't even ring the bell!! The bell rings in each office, including mine, so they aren't left there at all. They just ignore the signs and walk through! Driving me insane!
