On GMB this morning, she tells of how she feels sorry for men this year, in an interview about domestic violence victims.

Have skyrocketed peaktrans today. Fuck sake

Angry

So the WA person says 152 women were killed by men last year and IW tells her off off for “demonising men”?!

IW is a nasty, mysoginistic cunt.

LizzieSiddal · 05/02/2018 18:32

And I agree with whoever asked “Why would a trans want to work in a blooming Women’s refuge”?

MiMi78 · 05/02/2018 18:43

I starting to think trans like IW and Andi Dier are Terfy plants, as they seem to do a through job of pissing almost everyone off.
We have one alledged rapist interrupting a woman speaking about her own sexual assault and rape to ask what about the men.
And now IW looking at websites detailing dead women and they're instant reaction is also to ask what about the men.
No insight whatsoever.

Just when I thought I couldn’t detest IW any more than I do, there he is bullying women again. Fucking misogynistic woman hating dick! He may have had it cut off but for all extent and purposes he was willy waving in support of traumatising vulnerable women even more.

I've just watched it.

He is completely a disgusting vile narcissist.

Felt sorry for the dv woman.

Dismissing stats on women murdered by men as a one track story WTF!!!!

Repulsive.

ALittleBitOfButter · 05/02/2018 19:55

Where are all the posters shouting transphobe? Is this actually indefensible...?

SchrodingersFrilledLizard · 05/02/2018 19:57

YANBU. Willoughby is a thoroughly vile individual.

PositivelyPERF · 05/02/2018 19:57

On the plus side, I was just wondering how many at Mumsnet HQ, have peak transed, since they’ve let us have a voice? 😁

Thank you HQ. It’s amazing that we have a place that we can feel that real women have a voice. 🌹

niceandtoasty · 05/02/2018 20:34

YANBU. I would hope even most plain-old-men on reading about women being abused, raped and murdered by men would feel some sympathy for the victims but India's response was to feel sorry for men??? And then criticise the woman who heads a domestic violence charity for having a 'one-track mind' about male violence and suggest that she stop going on about it???

Not that the other guest even got much of a chance to go on about anything as India dominated the discussion interrupting and talking over everyone...

bambambini · 05/02/2018 20:43

India is not a good person. This is how India chose to belittle women coming forward in Westminster about their metoo experiences. Can just imagine India sitting rolling their eyes at how weak and pathetic they are.

velourvoyageur · 05/02/2018 21:03

I think India feels entitled to say shit like this because they think everyone sees them as a woman, with the 'insider privilege' that people will grant you if you're seen as self-deprecating i.e. 'we horrible women giving the poor men a hard time in 2017', or 'shut up about the damn women, it's not all about 'us'!'
When actually obviously people know very well that India is male biologically and has been socialised as male and therefore wouldn't be granted the leeway to say stuff like this if they weren't trans & if people weren't currently pussyfooting around the trans issue.

Thought Karen Ingala Smith was brilliant. Very brave to come out and state categorically that she thinks transwomen should be referred to specialist refuges, and very calm in the face of India's frankly bizarre remarks.

We are talking about women's refuges, not refuges for all those who have been the victim of sexual offences regardless of sex. Can't women have something just to themselves? India seems to have no clue about how women's lived experience is steered by sexual difference - if there were to be a centre set up to provide help to POC who had suffered racially motivated violence, I certainly hope there'd be an outcry if we then had white people coming in to claim access to resources because 'we also belong to a race and we also have suffered violence!' A refuge can't do everything at the same time and should not be expected to accommodate the demands of both men and women, because their needs are very different. KIS made it v. clear when she stated that she would even turn away a woman who felt threatened by other women, so can hardly be accused of being blindly woman-centric. A refuge cannot cater to all needs uniformly - you have to stick to one goal to deliver it adequately.
Lesbian analogy also ridiculous - even if there is one person in there who has suffered violence at the hands of a woman, a) they know that they cannot be raped by female staff and b) there will likely be no one else who has cause to fear violence by women, as it is so rare.

Does India remind anyone else of a certain creepy killer doll?

DickTERFin · 05/02/2018 22:59

"Last year a married MP offered to give me a "private" tour of the House of Commons"

Suuuuure they did. Is this like the Dalek that gave you the fanny gallops (in a Dr Who ep. that didn't have any Daleks in) perchance?

I'm calling "Liar, liar, frilly g-string on fire". This fantasist will say anything to get attention and/or covertly express their hatred of women.

PositivelyPERF · 05/02/2018 23:36

NutElla5x hahaha 🤣 I’m never going to be able to unsee that every time I look at iw now!

blackchina · 06/02/2018 00:05

Ha ha yeah, she looks like Chucky!

Can't stand her by the way!

blackchina · 06/02/2018 00:11

@boopsy

Honest to god India actually gives me the creeps, makes my skin crawl. I can’t imagine being forced to share a space with him again if I ever felt vulnerable - there is nothing feminine about this large imposing masculine looking person on make up and a dress. Can’t believe he actually had the nerve to eye roll at the statistics of male violence towards women and try to stick up for men!!

Harsh. But I agree a bit. Someone who is genuinely a woman would surely have more compassion for women!

zeezee3 · 06/02/2018 00:24

India is an absolutely perfect example of an arrogant, entitled man who believes ‘woman’ is nothing more than short sparkly dresses, heels and lipstick.

This ^ in a nutshell.

Iirc they were talking about sport, then Piers makes the point that, how can it not be ok in sport (women V transwomen) but it’s ok to have male bodied people in shelters.

Women statistically less likely to kill, also, women have a chance against each other being broadly similar strengths.

People must surely be seeing the truth now?

And if s/he didn’t wheel out NAMALT.
I would have laughed if we were not talking about the murders of our sisters, friends and mothers.

Atrocious.
