On GMB this morning, she tells of how she feels sorry for men this year, in an interview about domestic violence victims.

Have skyrocketed peaktrans today. Fuck sake

Blinded ny ego.
Delusional to the truth and possibilities of abuse towards vulnerable women that allowing men into refuges just cos they put on a freaking dress for the day thtows up.
Its all "me me me i am the only reasonable person around, you are all anti men, anti trans ignorant people." "Of course all men would be genuinely looking to help women."

Oh just fuck off.

If IW had more than 2 brain cells to rub togther they still wouldnt spark a fire.

BonfiresOfInsanity · 05/02/2018 15:53

You know IW is a MRA because she used that lovely little line about there not being a refuge for trans women if they're raped. Because, of course, it's our job to set that up and get it running for them isn't it.

BonfiresOfInsanity · 05/02/2018 15:54

Oh and the often trotted out NAMALT.

HumphreyCobblers · 05/02/2018 15:58

India was vile when she talked about how women SHOULD shave their legs if they were hairy, otherwise they were dirty. Jenni Murray was reprimanded by the BBC for mentioning that trans women were different to women after her interview with India. It made me extremely depressed and I complained to the BBC.

India is showing their true colours more and more and more.

I hope the BBC realises that Jenni was right all along.

Wollstonecraft1 · 05/02/2018 16:01

I do not know what IW was allowed to dominate that discussion. It was ridiculous.

NutElla5x · 05/02/2018 16:05

Then only person India care about is India, she proves this practically every time she opens her gob (which is far too often).....a thoroughly odious creature.

Hidingtonothing · 05/02/2018 16:13

The certainty that India et al seem to have that predators won't exploit being able to access vulnerable women astounds me. Because that never happens does it? Peadophiles don't specifically train/apply for jobs working with children do they? Sexual predators don't look for and purposely create opportunities to gain access to women do they?!! The insistence that predators would never go to the extent of pretending to identify as a woman (whatever-the-fuck that means) just to access women is a complete denial of an obvious truth, a bit like 'transwomen are women' really.

HectorlovesKiki · 05/02/2018 16:15

India is very domineering and spoke over Karen Ingala Smith, the NIA Rep, probably because her arguments, when she could get any words out, made complete and utter sense. India is a bully. Men commit most sex crimes (even on other men) and most murders. India looks quite masculine, talks like a man and has very male, bullish ways about her. Her "Poor men..." comment illustrates male thinking also. She terrifys me and I'm not a vulnerable battered woman in a refuge.

UpstartCrow · 05/02/2018 16:20

IW missed the point. Trans people can start their own refuge system. As men could if they wanted to .
But for some reason they just wont do it.

And why the hell should any woman have to sit in a room with someone who is a DV survivor and decide if they pass or not? Why should trans people have to go through that?
IW has no idea. If someone has DV to flee without their birth certificate, how can they prove they have transitioned?

DickTERFin · 05/02/2018 16:22

Along with being a narci, MRA, it's the newsreader speak that makes my teeth itch.

"Sayafewwordsquitefastandfornoapparentreason... slow... right... down... over.. EMPHASISE...some...random...words...and draaaaw out..........others".

Grating, because it's a way of filling time when you've actually got fuck all to say but it works to stop anybody else getting a word in edgeways.

ExFunFeminist · 05/02/2018 16:24

According to IW she is SURE that any transwomen in a refuge who makes a woman uncomfortable will back off. Well that's cleared that up then. I will let Women's Aid know.

SeekEveryEveryKnownHidingPlace · 05/02/2018 16:27

India is rude, stupid, bullish, ignorant, obnoxious, and generally appalling. What a fucking fool.

Passmethecakeplease · 05/02/2018 16:33

I wonder when IW will realise that the only reason she's being asked on shows is because it's guaranteed entertainment due to how poorly she behaves in many situations.

Serialweightwatcher · 05/02/2018 16:34

Can't bear this India idiot and I'm sure a lot of transgenders will be appalled that this fool is supposedly speaking on their behalf ... he is horrendous and shouldn't be allowed an opinion on this topic in the media - he's obviously not quite right in the head after seeing the performance on CBB and I don't think that has anything to do with what gender he is, just not nice, narcissistic and creepy with it

justdontevenfuckingstart · 05/02/2018 16:34

As soon as men were criticised IW stepped in, so obviously identifies as a man.

backaftera2yearbreak · 05/02/2018 16:43

Perhaps mumsnet can get IW on for a web chat. She can’t shout then?

ExFunFeminist · 05/02/2018 16:44

Invited on to a panel to discuss women’s refuges: IW ‘’I feel really sorry for guys this year, they’ve had it so tough’’

Bluelady · 05/02/2018 16:53

I wish they'd stop giving her the oxygen of publicity.

Willow2017 · 05/02/2018 16:56

Maybe she should start a fefuge for the poor menz who abused women and had the humiliation of being found out and called out on it. Poor babies must need somewhere to go and get tea and sympathy.

But as there was a distinct lack of men or trans women rushing to set up womens refuges in the past 40 years maybe they could try setting up thier own trans women refuges. Put all that wasted anger and self importance to good use?

Independentstateofeyebrows · 05/02/2018 17:07

The certainty ... that predators won't exploit being able to access vulnerable women astounds me
Exactly - like abusing self id would transgress the sex offenders' code of ethicsHmm
It's at best gobsmackingly naive and at worst wilfully ignorant to dismiss the absolute certainty that self id will be abused and that the victims will be women and girls

DearSergio · 05/02/2018 17:14

Maybe india should do as terfs are constantly being told and " educate themselves ". India, go and speak to some female survivors of domestic violence, go and ask them how they would feel about sharing a space with a male bodied person after suffering horrific abuse from a man. Go and find out how and why women's refuges were set up ( here's a hint, they weren't just given to us because we stamped out feet, pouted and said it wasn't fair ) and ask yourself how on earth after reading about the women murdered by men in one year alone did you come to the conclusion of poor men. For a " real woman " india sounds alot like an abusive man...

Yes DickTERFin, exactly that!!

YY

Considering how India talked about how there are no separate refuges for transgender people (or transwomen specifically? I can't remember the exact wording India used without going back to watch it) wouldn't it be great for India to use India's celebrity as a platform to start setting these places up for trans people, rather than expecting a woman to have all the answers.

I'd actually have a little bit of respect for India if India actually did something to solve this problem rather than shouting at women about it.

LifeBeginsAtGin · 05/02/2018 18:21

Did anyone see CBB where evicted housemates came back to the house?

IW certainly still bears a grudge against Ann W. It was uncomfortable and embarrassing to watch.

Interesting that IW was first to be evicted and Ann was runner up. Well done Ann.
