OMG yes, totally. I have tears too watching that.

DD(14) recently remarked how "fearless" Kim Kardashian is for posting a topless pic of herself. I literally yelled "NO! no she is not "fearless"! The Iranian women removing their scarves in Iran are fearless! Not Kim fucking Kardashian!!!"

I had a 19 yr old Iranian friend many years ago. A beautiful, intelligent and kind young woman. In the UK she looked like any other fashionable young women - then she’d tell me how she had to cover up again on entering Iran. Even going skiing with her husband in Iran they had to split up and use separate runs. We lost touch years ago - i imagine she’s standing with the other brave women there. Hope she is safe.

The 'white Wednesday' protests are amazing.
I really find these women incredible, I keep thinking about them and wonder what makes them able to be so brave?

The coverage I had seen was of younger women, and I wondered if there was a movement with them. Obviously it isn't simply youth then.

I just don't know that I would ever be so strong as to openly stand up against such strong cultural judgement and against the law in such a way.
This protest is really moving.

Amazingly brave woman, going to the limits of her strength
joining other brave women protesting the restrictions imposed by a religious dictatorship.

In her youth, women in Iran could wear what they wanted, before the "Revolution", the Great Leap Backwards.
It must have felt so terrible to lose those rights she had before.

Very brave woman. I hope no repercussions happen to her because of this video
