Can someone just verify that I exist?

I'm not sure what it is I've done but in the past few days:

  • I've posted 3 messages on a whatsapp group with a lot of members and not one person has replied. I have never seen this happen to anyone else on the group, which is longstanding. Clearly people don't like me but there's nothing I can think of that I have done to offend them. I must just not be popular or influential enough to warrant a response.
  • I've sent urgent (personal rather than work) emails directly to two different people whose job it is to respond in a timely manner and not even had the emails acknowledged. Again, this is unusual. There was nothing negative in the emails and it would be beneficial to them to respond.

I feel like I'm in some kind of horror or psychological thriller where I don't actually exist any more.

But group whatsapp is more for idle chat, non? I never use a group one for urgent messagess that require an answer (121 whatsapp or txt better)

I use a running group one to.ask.if anyone fancies going for a run, there are 12 people in there, I would not expect all of them.to say "sorry but I really can't do tonight", i'd only expect the ones that want to, to reply

I would not feel unloved if nobody replied

As to.businesses, if I need a reply these days, I call.

Lots of people/businesses do not reply to txt or mail these days! It is the new way, nothing to do with you OP

You do not exist. But please feel free to come back and haunt MN with gay abandon

Hello!!! You exist.... Poor you it's shit when that happens, probably just coincidence and business and nothing at all to do with you, but it still stings.

It's worse when it happens in real life.
When I'm standing having a chat with a mum in the playground and another mum comes and stands in between us, turns her back on me, and starts her own conversation with the person I was chatting to.
I was too shocked to feel upset though.

I totally get this.

Happens to me in queues and public places all the time. It has caused me to feel very insignificant and unimportant at times. No idea why it happens and why I have only noticed it in recent years.

Flowers for all posters who feel the same.

My bug bear is getting served at busy bars, I just turn invisible the second I approach the bar. People to both sides and behind me get served whilst I'm totally ignored!!! Blush
