Looks like mould or a squashed caterpillar 🐛

CreativeBee · 02/02/2018 15:42

I think it's mould. I find if you leave them in the shrinkwrap they're very prone to this.

OlennasWimple · 02/02/2018 15:58

Just cut it off, give it a thorough wash and you're good to go

babyccinoo · 02/02/2018 15:59

Eww this is why I check every veg and don't do online shopping Grin

picklemepopcorn · 02/02/2018 16:00

It's started to rot, I think.

Kursk · 02/02/2018 16:00

Wash it off/ cut it off, you will be fine

Pickleypickles · 02/02/2018 16:04

babyccino what if you are buying peas?

MrsJayy · 02/02/2018 16:05

It will be fine you get that if it has been in the wrapping to long peel it and eat it .

MyToeHurtsBetty · 02/02/2018 16:08

It just looks like a skin blemish to me... Cut it off and eat the rest.

MrsJayy · 02/02/2018 16:09

These folk who want perfect veg tsk 😁

italiancortado · 02/02/2018 16:22

I would cut that section out and eat the rest if it looked ok. If it looked dodgy inside I would bin it. I'm afraid I couldn't bring myself to return a 50p cucumber.

babyccinoo · 02/02/2018 18:04

Pickley - good point!

Although they're less likely to be mouldy as they're frozen pretty soon after ... plucking? Harvesting?

Sammysquiz · 02/02/2018 18:26

It’s just a imperfection on the skin. Cut it off!

Idontdowindows · 02/02/2018 18:30

Wash it off and see if the skin underneath is good. If it is, you're good to go.

CreativeBee · 02/02/2018 23:54

Apparently beetle eggs 🤢. Only bought it this afternoon (well DH did, explains why it wasn’t checked), straight in the bin and DH had to go to shops again, that’ll teach him to check veg before buying Grin
