To judge this kid's clothing?

My DD had an assembly at school this morning. It is standard for other classes not participating in the assembly to come and watch along with the parents. It is non uniform today.

I'm generally quite laid back about what people wear, I'm by no means a judgy fashion police person, but there was this young lad aged 8/9 came into this assembly wearing a hoodie with a picture of a cannabis leaf on in the style of the Adidas symbol with the word 'addicted' underneath.

Aibu to massively judge his parents for this?! Irrespective of financial strife or other bad home circumstances, surely there is no valid reason you'd buy you kid this hoodie, is there?!

Even if you don't understand English, you know what the cannabis leaf means

I don't think my mum would, bless her!

Was it definitely a cannabis leaf, the normal Adidas logo is sort of leaf shaped and could be mistaken for cannabis leaf i suppose although it has never crossed my mind before.

Ignore that, I just googled and have seen ’spoof’ Adidas tshirts with the cannabis logo and slogan that you have described.
No idea why anyone would choose to allow their child to wear it.

I saw a two-three year old in a tshirt that said "Barbie is a slut.. by Sindy" about ten years ago. Why a tshirt was even made in that size I don't know.

My gran bought me a Playboy "bunny" necklace when I was 3/4 years old... I'd have loved to be a fly on the wall of that particular jewellery store when a 70ish Polish lady in a duster jacket walked in and picked that out. Grin Not sure what my parents thought about it, actually.

I remember being about 13-14 and just getting into fashion and deciding what i liked and what I didn't. On one shopping trip i persuaded my mum (quite easily in fact!) to buy me a t-shirt from a fairly expensive shop that said "porn star" across the chest.

I was thrilled and felt mature leaving the store with it but too embarassed to ever wear it incase my dad saw! Now i cringe at the thought that my mum even got it in the first place!

Though this was the same time a sales assistant in a cheaper store tried to inflict a knock off play boy boob tube on my 10 year old sister!
