Does anyone know where it's filmed?

Did Topsy and Tim's mum ever have the baby? I saw an episode where they finished school for the holidays and she was heavily pregnant, but I never saw her have the baby.

Aren't there two sets of 'twins' ( actors ) that play T&T?

PeonyTruffle · 01/02/2018 20:46

I have to turn it off. It makes me irrationally ragey.

It’s the super mum and her sing song chirpy voice that gets me. The Nan is annoying as well.

londonrach · 01/02/2018 20:49

Dd loves this. Love topsy shes soo cute. Both t and t too good to be true!

ferrier · 01/02/2018 20:49

In the books, Topsy and Tim's mum has a baby. It's a bizarre tale because Topsy and Tim have to go out in the garden and peer through the window to see it Confused

Dazedandconfuzzled · 01/02/2018 20:56

Eugh I hate it. My dd seems to really like it but I find them all so very annoying. There was one on the other night where the gran came round to babysit so mum could go on a run which was odd in itself and then mum decides to go run with the kids on their scooters. Why would you go for a run with your 5 year olds it would take forever, they would get bored and want to go to the swongs/shop/home. Poor grandma was left in their house. They act bratty and no one gets told off its just cuddles and kisses and everythings better even if they have been little shits. I feel better now hahaha

SteamTrainsRealAleandOpenFires · 01/02/2018 20:58

Is the new baby Tony’s dad’s? I would Blush

Nah I reckon that all 3 kids are Mr. Rosen's as "Joy" prefers older men. Wink

Sometimes just for sport, we mute T&T and dub our own more realistic version. T&T are replaced with naughty, whinier children and a typically harassed mother. But we have no life... Grin

baramewe · 01/02/2018 21:09

But hang on is that their real life mum and dad or are they just actors? Is that a really stupid question?! Ah the one where DIY Derek turns up to help with the wallpapering (cos he's got nothing better to do) puts my teeth on edge, the dads so fake Confused

drspouse · 01/02/2018 21:11

ferrier that's the neighbour's baby.

user365241987 · 01/02/2018 21:13

Baramewe Of course they are a real family. Isn't Corrie a documentary... Hmm

poddige · 01/02/2018 21:15

Come clean @user365241987 are you a secret Topsy and Tim lover?

user365241987 · 01/02/2018 21:19

I do love it, despite it also creeping me out with the overly jolly, helpful, compliant children and their endlessly patient Mum. Of course it just highlights my failings...

MinnieMousse · 01/02/2018 21:24

The Mum and Dad are actors. Early Hollyoaks fans from the 90s are there any apart from me? will be thrilled to know that Joy is married to Lewis from Hollyoaks in real life.

MrsHathaway · 01/02/2018 21:42

But hang on is that their real life mum and dad or are they just actors?

They aren't even siblings Grin

And no, they're not played by twins, but they do have stand-ins. You'll notice that quite a few shots have only one of their faces in ...

DusktilDawn · 01/02/2018 21:50

I cringed at the Christmas one where the dad decides to start dancing while his mother watches. It makes me want to kill

SpikeGilesSandwich · 02/02/2018 00:09

I'm sure they had another baby in the books, a girl, Tansy?
Or did I imagine that? I'm very sleep-deprived Confused

Whwhywhy · 02/02/2018 00:20

In the books tony welsh’s Mum has a baby and they actually visit it, not stare in the window.

But I do wonder if some of the books have been changed? I’ve a few of my own 1970s ones and some current ones. My kids have the new “go on an aeroplane” one and they still get to visit the cockpit (not so big post 9/11 - although I remember doing as a kid). We also have a visit London one which feels a bit too up to date.

My aunt used to read me them and make up the stories, topsy and Tim go to jail. Topsy and Tim go drug smuggling were favourites.

I and no doubt others here would love to hear them. Grin

I've found Topsy and Tim's original house on right move.

It's in Twickenham.

Couldn't find their new bigger house.

Whwhywhy · 02/02/2018 07:29

Well it’s a lot tidier than when they lived there

Woollypinksocks · 02/02/2018 07:54

It is isn't it.

Although I always feel like Topsy and Tim's house is organised chaos. The mum stays so calm when the kids are making more mess.

We e all become a bit obsessed with watching Topsy and Tim, even my eldest can see through it.
